  • Publication number: 20220281583
Abstract: An aircraft having a fuselage, an aircraft body, at least one aircraft engine system and a feature. The fuselage defining a longitudinal centerline. The at least one aircraft engine system defining an axial centerline. The at least one aircraft engine system having a nacelle and at least one rotatable propeller. The at least one rotatable propeller having a free end that is spaced radially outward from the nacelle with respect to the axial centerline. The feature shaped to alter a flow of air between the aircraft body and the at least one rotatable propeller. The feature having a continuous rounded contour when viewed along a vertical plane normal to the longitudinal centerline and intersecting the feature.

  • Patent number: 10679401
Abstract: A monitoring system can include a dashboard including a graphical user interface display space. The monitoring system can also include a digital twin validation system including a processor configured to perform operations including rendering, in a graphical user interface display space, an interactive graphical object characterizing a first input value of a first digital model of a plurality of oil and gas industrial machines. The operations can also include receiving data characterizing user interaction with the interactive graphical object. The data characterizing the user interaction can be indicative of the first input value of the first digital model. The operations can further include updating the first digital model to generate updated output values representative of an operational parameter of the plurality of oil and gas industrial machines. The operations can also include rendering, in the graphical user interface display space, a visual representation of the updated output values.

  • Publication number: 20190234207
Abstract: A method includes receiving sensor data characterizing one or more properties of a first formation undergoing drilling; determining, based on the received sensor data and a plurality of clustered historical data, an identity of the first formation; determining, based on one or more of the identity of the first formation and a target rate of penetration, a target operating parameter of a drill configured to penetrate the first formation, the target operating parameter configured to achieve the target rate of penetration of the drill through the first formation; and varying the operation of the drill based on the target operating parameter. Related apparatus, systems, articles, and techniques are also described.

  • Publication number: 20190235128
Abstract: A method can include generating a first predictive model associated with a first well of a plurality of wells in a cluster, the first well configured to produce a first fluid output and a second well of the plurality of wells configured to produce a second fluid output, the first and the second fluid outputs flow to a cluster manifold via a system of pipelines in the cluster. The method includes receiving data characterizing one or more pressure measurements in the cluster and indicative of one or more pressure values associated with the first fluid output, and the second fluid output. The method can further include recalibrating the first predictive model based on the one or more of the pressure measurements and historical data associated with the first well. Related apparatus, systems, articles, and techniques are also described.

  • Publication number: 20190225318
Abstract: A system includes plural airfoils operably coupled with a rotatable member of an aircraft engine system. The rotatable member is configured to rotate about an axial centerline of the aircraft engine system. The system comprises a feature at one or more exterior locations of an aircraft body. The feature is shaped to alter a flow of air between the aircraft body and the airfoils. Altering the flow of air also one or more of reduces a local load on the airfoils, reduces a local angle of attack of the airfoils, or reduces a noise level that is generated by the aircraft engine system as the rotatable member rotates about the axial centerline of the aircraft engine system relative to the aircraft body not including the feature.
