  • Patent number: 4425258
Abstract: A solid catalyst for olefin polymerization is obtained by treating magnesium halide with a sulfur compound or sulfur and a sulfur compound and further treating with an electron donor compound and a halogen-containing titanium compound. Alternatively, the magnesium halide is treated with halogen and/or an interhalogen compound and sulfur and/or a sulfur compound and is further treated with an electron donor compound and a halogen-containing titanium compound. The solid catalyst thus obtained is used for a catalytic system for olefin polymerization in combination with an organometallic compound.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 24, 1981
Date of Patent: January 10, 1984
Assignee: Denki Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Hideyuki Tanaka, Kiyotaka Saito, Shozo Hori, Yutaka Mitsuda
  • Patent number: 4404322
Abstract: A heat resistant thermoplastic resin composition is provided which comprises an iminated copolymer prepared by iminating a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing an aromatic vinyl monomer, maleic acid anhydride and a vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the aromatic vinyl monomer and maleic acid anhydride with the use of ammonia and/or a primary amine, and mixed with a graft polymer with or without a styrene base polymer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 20, 1982
Date of Patent: September 13, 1983
Assignee: Denki Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Kiyotaka Saito, Tomoyuki Kitsunai, Shozo Hori
  • Patent number: 4325838
Abstract: A solid catalyst for olefin polymerization is obtained by treating magnesium halide with halogen or a halogen compound and further treating with an electron donative compound and a halogen-containing titanium compound. The halogen atom of the halogen or halogen compound as the treating agent must be different from the halogen atom of magnesium halide as the substrate. This solid catalyst is used for a catalytic system for olefin polymerization in combination with an organometallic compound.
