  • Patent number: 6431305
Abstract: A rear discharge mower unit (50) with a mower housing (55) defining grass clippings flow paths for directing grass clippings rearward. The mower unit includes a power transmission mechanism for rotating a center blade (58) and a second side blade (60) in one direction and a first side blade (59) in the other direction, a center baffle (63) extending around a rotational axis of the center blade and defining a center flow path (69a) for feeding grass clippings to a grass clippings outlet (66), a first side baffle (64) extending around a rotational axis of the first side blade (59) and defining a first side flow path (69b) for feeding grass clippings to the grass clippings outlet (66), and a second side baffle (65) extending around a rotational axis of the second side blade (60) and defining a second side flow path (69c) for feeding grass clippings to the center flow path (69a).

  • Patent number: 6360517
Abstract: A mower unit (B) having a housing (13), blades (12) supported in the housing to be rotatable about vertical axes (P1) acting as the centers of rotation, cutting edges (12A) defined at front edge regions of each blade with respect to a direction of rotation thereof, and lift vanes (12B) erected from rear edge regions of each blade with respect to the direction of rotation thereof. Each of the lift vanes includes a first vane portion (12b) extending the more rearwardly, with respect to the direction of rotation, the farther away the first vane is from the center of rotation, and a second vane portion (12c) bent in the direction of rotation from a radially outward end of the first vane portion.

  • Patent number: 4696365
Abstract: A four wheel drive vehicle with dirigible front wheels, comprising a main propelling drive transmission, and a front wheel drive transmission connected to the main transmission. The front wheel drive transmission is switchable between a first four wheel drive mode in which the front wheels and the rear wheels are driven at a substantially equal peripheral speed and a second four wheel drive mode in which the front wheels are driven at a higher peripheral speed than the rear wheels. The front wheel drive transmission includes a piston operable by a hydraulic control system including a control valve mechanically interlocked to a steering section of the vehicle for switching the front wheel drive transmission from the first drive mode to the second drive mode. The piston, which normally is biased toward a position for the first drive mode, is movable against the biasing force to a position for the second drive mode when the front wheels are steered to an angle exceeding a predetermined angle.

  • Patent number: 4631980
Abstract: A hydraulic circuit construction for a tractor having a hydraulic stepless change speed apparatus wherein pressure oil is supplied to the charge oil line regardless of whether the main clutch is engaged or disengaged while the engine is running. Furthermore, where the lift arm cylinder is the single acting type, the pressure oil from the hydraulic pump directly connected to the engine is divided at a flow priority valve, its excess flow being supplied to the hydraulic circuit for driving the lift arm cylinder, into a return oil line from this circuit a control flow of the flow priority valve being joined, whereby at least a constant amount of control flow is supplied to the charge oil line to avoid a complete break of the charge oil supply even if there is no flow of pressure oil in the return oil line at times of pressure oil supply to the single acting lift arm cylinder.
