Abstract: In an apparatus for recording and reproducing a broadcast program, a receiver receives program content data broadcasted. The program content data includes viewer response request information. A memory records the program content data received by the receiver. A decoder decodes the program content data in case of reproducing the program content data recorded in the memory, and extracts the response request information from decoded program contents data. A sending unit sends an item to be counted in response to the viewer's response to the response request information.

Abstract: A broadcasting station creates a broadcast schedule for broadcasting advertisement information. An information providing apparatus receives the broadcast schedule through a communication network, changes the broadcast schedule based on advertisement rates for broadcasting the advertisement information, and creating a commercial program guide. The commercial program guide is transmitted through a communication network and received by an information storage apparatus. The information storage apparatus automatically records and stores the advertisement information from the broadcasting station based on the received commercial program guide. Also, commercials can be reproduced according to classifications in accordance with the commercial program guide. Thus, it is made possible to automatically record a commercial according to advertisement rates and to display a commercial as desired by a user.

Abstract: A logic circuit simulation device comprises a connection analyzer for detecting circuit connection data from an input logic circuit description, an asynchronous element detector for detecting an asynchronous element in the input logic circuit description, a grouping area determination section for determining a grouping area in the logic circuit from which the asynchronous element is excluded, a grouping section for executing grouping for the determined grouping area, and a simulator for simulating operation of a logic circuit on the basis of the logic circuit having undergone grouping. This prevents a single event execution unit from being repeatedly executed within one simulation cycle. Since signal processing associated with the transfer of values between event execution units is replaced with variable processing, high-speed processing can be performed.
