  • Patent number: 5493872
Abstract: A water sprinkling apparatus for an ice making machine includes an icing water sprinkler comprised of a plurality of broad-width water strewing cylinders extending in parallel with one another with a distance therebetween and formed in an integral structure and a deicing water sprinkler comprised of a plurality of narrow-width water strewing cylinders extending along respective bottom surfaces of the plurality of broad-width water strewing cylinders and formed in an integral structure. Each of the broad-width water strewing cylinders and each of the narrow-width water strewing cylinders have pluralities of water strewing holes and formed distributively in the respective bottom walls. The water strewing holes are preferably formed simultaneously with molding of the icing water sprinkler and the deicing water sprinkler.

  • Patent number: 5473865
Abstract: In an automatic bagging apparatus, a foremost bag F of stacked bags stored in a bag storage mechanism 10 is fed by a bag feeding mechanism 20 and supported by a bag support mechanism 30. The supported bag is supplied with a predetermined amount of ice cubes, and the bagged ice cubes are accumulated in an ice storage bin. The bag feeding mechanism 20 is provided with a clamping mechanism 20a for grasping the bag at its two positions and detection switches SW4, SW5 for detecting the fact that the bag F has been correctly fed by the clamping mechanism 20a. When it has been detected by the detection switches SW4, SW5 that the bag F could not be correctly fed or that there is not any bag in the bag storage mechanism 10, the feeding operation of the bag is repeated predetermined times. If the bag F could not be correctly fed, the feeding operation of the bag is stopped, and the remained ice cubes are melted by water sprinkled from a watering pipe to be drained.

  • Patent number: 4869076
Abstract: An ice making machine comprises an ice forming member, a water tank for storing ice forming water to be supplied to the ice forming member, a water distribution pipe for supplying ice forming water onto the ice forming member, a first pipe having one end connected to the water distribution pipe, and a circulating pump having an intake port communicated to the water tank. The circulating pump is of a reversible rotation type and includes a first discharge port connected to the other end of the first pipe for delivering ice forming water to the ice forming member during an ice production cycle, and a second discharge port connected to a second pipe for discharging water from the water tank to a location other than the water distribution pipe during a deicing cycle. The location at which the second pipe discharge water can be a defreezing water distribution pipe for supplying defreezing water for removal of ice or a drain conduit in fluid communication with the exterior of the ice making machine.

  • Patent number: 4791792
Abstract: The present invention provides an ice making machine including an ice making water tank adapted to supply ice making water in circulation to an ice making section during the ice making cycle, a harvesting water tank adapted to supply harvesting water to the ice making section during the harvesting cycle, a compressor adapted to supply refrigerant gas to an evaporator tube of the ice making section, a float switch provided to the harvesting water tank and adapted to sense the upper water limit of the harvesting water, a water feed valve adapted to supply water to the harvesting water tank, and a control circuit having a relay for sensing that the machine is in the ice making cycle, the circuit being connected to the float switch and to the water feed valve for controlling the operation thereof. The water feed valve is open only when an AND output signal of the relay and the float switch is issued.
