Abstract: A medical device (10) includes a medical component (12); at least one environmental sensor (14, 14E); an electronic processor (20); and a non-transitory computer readable medium (26). The non-transitory computer readable medium (26) stores: device operational instructions executable by the electronic processor (20) to control the medical component to perform a medical function respective to a medical subject; an operating specification (30) for the medical device; and device monitoring instructions executable by the electronic processor (20) to: receive a measurement of at least one environmental parameter from the at least one environmental sensor; and output an alert (32) about the performance of the medical function respective to the medical subject if the measurement of the at least one environmental parameter is outside of the operating specification for the medical device.

Abstract: A method (100) of determining a layout for one or more medical devices (12) in a medical facility includes: obtaining images (30) of a plurality of locations of the medical facility; mapping the obtained images to an architectural layout of the medical facility; generating a three-dimensional (3D) model of the medical facility based on the mapping; determining a recommended location for the one or more medical devices using the 3D model; determining a recommended placement of the one or more medical devices in the recommended location based on the recommended location; and outputting an image (40) showing the determined recommended placement of the medical devices in the recommended location.

Abstract: A method for processing medical information includes identifying a first patient in a first state, identifying a second patient in a second state, calculating a first risk score for the first patient, calculating a first risk score for the second patient, and determining a risk prone area in a medical facility based on the first risk score for the first patient and the first risk score for the second patient. The first state is an infected state and the second state is different from the first state. The first risk score of the first patient provides an indication of a severity of the infected state of the first patient, and the first risk score of the second patient provides an indication of the second patient being infected by the first patient.
