In particularly-preferred embodiments, the apparatuses of the present invention release of anti-inflammatory agents into the prostate. The anti-inflammatory agents preferably reduce the inflammation that is associated with brachytherapy and other conditions of the prostate. In particular, corticosteroid anti-inflammatory agents are employed in the context of the present invention.
