  • Patent number: 11912321
Abstract: A system and method for recommending intelligent railway network access plans and modified access plans based on current status of execution of tasks and train timetables. Herein, the system and method need to consider multiple variables including train timetable changes, activity efficiencies etc. to derive an overall optimum access management solution for the railway network. They can interface with existing operational timetables and cost management systems by using existing data sets for operations and cost data. The cost data is manipulated to identify fixed and variable costs and variability of variable costs with access duration and activity bundling. A trade-off between cost and value is considered which results in a longer continuous time window being available for maintenance, less visits to same location to complete a maintenance task, less time spent in setup/unwind activities and higher labour utilization.

  • Patent number: 11098455
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for data acquisition and asset inspection in presence of magnetic interference. Data acquisition and assets inspection systems in many infrastructures such as railway, power line, and bridges provide inaccurate results in presence of magnetic interference. The proposed system and method proposes UAV based navigation through a dynamic correction path to inspect one or more assets in one or more infrastructures. A plurality of sensors are integrated with the UAV to acquire images of the one or more assets in presence of magnetic field. The acquired images are further processed to segment and detect anomalies in one or more parts of the one or more assets. The detected anomalies are further classified as potential anomalies and non-potential anomalies. The proposed method provides accurate results with reduced processing time.

  • Patent number: 9381928
Abstract: Disclosed is method and system for continuously re-generating reactive on-line train schedules for trains running in a large railway network. Railway network partitioned based on user configuration, into first type comprising trunk line and feeder line sub-networks, and second type comprising supervisory dispatch control territories. Sense and respond cycle is continuously executed on multi-processor computing environment, senses dynamic data from field about train movements, and other changes from users. For each first type sub-network, degree of deviation is computed from incumbent plans and congestion in sub-networks. Using degree of deviation and congestion, trains are rerouted and suitable scheduling methods are chosen for each sub-network and executed in parallel and first level train schedules are sent to second level train schedulers working on second type sub-networks which in parallel identify and resolve conflicts among first level train schedules.

  • Publication number: 20130054289
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for budget-compliant, fair and efficient manpower management primarily for service industries to improve customer service, save costs, improve employee morale and productivity. More particularly the present invention relates to a system and method enabling labour planners and schedulers to rapidly develop a budget-compliant, fair, effective, easy to use and manageable and deployable manpower schedule to optimize and increase effective manpower productivity. Further the system and method of the present invention generates manpower plans and schedules suitable for deployment, on the basis of two novel criteria's a) compliance of allocations to planned labour budgets while also being driven by business forecasts and b) using several fairness” criteria so that the desirable and undesirable features of the schedules are equitably dispersed.
