  • Patent number: 10327109
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for location determination at a mobile device comprising sending positioning capabilities of the mobile device to a location server, where the positioning capabilities comprise an identification of a partial Radio Frequency (RF) band that is contained within a complete RF band. The positioning capabilities indicate that the mobile device can measure the partial RF band but cannot measure the complete RF band. The mobile device may subsequently receive location assistance data from the location server, where the location assistance data comprises configuration information for at least one reference signal (RS) in the partial RF band. The mobile device may then obtain at least one location measurement from the at least one RS based on the configuration information, and sends location information to the location server, where the location information is based on the at least one location measurement.

  • Publication number: 20180338284
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) determines availability of one or more of the radio frequency (RF) resources (e.g., shared power tracking mode devices) and dynamically assigns (during simultaneous active operation or transmission by the two or more transmit chains) one or more RF resources to selected one or more active transmit chains in the user equipment. In one instance, the UE selectively assigns the shared power tracking mode device(s) to the active transmit chain(s) based on the determined availability.

  • Publication number: 20180082570
Abstract: In one aspect, a method includes maintaining a list of future user events. The list includes a field associated with each of the future user events to indicate whether charging of a mobile device is possible during a respective future user event. The method also includes receiving user input indicating whether charging of the mobile device is possible during at least one of the future user events and updating the field associated with the future user events based on the user input. Also included in the method is setting a battery charging threshold based on one or more of the future user events and based on the fields associated with the future user events. An alert may then be generated prior to a future user event in response to a current battery level of the mobile device being less than the battery charging threshold.
