Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for managing wireless communications are described. In one embodiment, information relating to a scheduling request performance of a first set of one or more user equipments (UEs) may be compiled, and at least a subset of the information may be transmitted to trigger an identification of an adjustment of an uplink power control setting of a second set of one or more UEs. In another embodiment, information to trigger an identification of an adjustment of an uplink power control setting for transmitting scheduling requests may be received from each of a first plurality of UEs. The information may be analyzed, and a power adjustment may be identified for the uplink power control setting for at least one of a second plurality of UEs. The identified power adjustment may then be transmitted to the at least one of the second plurality of UEs.
