  • Patent number: 6955634
Abstract: A skiing exercise device includes a base frame having a front end portion with a pair of pivot poles disposed on opposite sides of a vertical plane. Each pivot pole has a pole axis inclining at an angle relative to the vertical plane. Each of two stepper members includes a foot support mounted on a supporting rod that extends from a pivot tube, which is sleeved rotatably on a respective pivot pole, in a longitudinal direction parallel to the vertical plane toward a rear end portion of the base frame, and a coupling flange extending from the pivot tube away from the vertical plane. A coupling unit includes a reel-mounting seat mounted on and movable in the longitudinal direction relative to the front end portion of the base frame, a reel mounted rotatably on the reel-mounting seat and disposed between the stepper members, and a cord wound on the reel and having opposite ends connected respectively to the coupling flanges of the stepper members.

  • Publication number: 20030050155
Abstract: A body exerciser includes a seat member supported by a leg post, a crank shaft mounted on two bearing members that are disposed rearwardly of the seat member so as to be rotatable clockwise and counterclockwise about an axis, a backrest member secured to the crank shart for swinging clockwise to a bending position or counterclockwise to a straightening position, and a deformable resisting member connected to a crank web on the crank shaft and to an anchored member. The resisting member is tensioned at the bending and straightening positions, thereby generating a biasing action to resist movement of the backrest member.

  • Publication number: 20020155926
Abstract: An exercising device includes a mounting rod supported on a floor. Right and left shafts respectively have lower ends secured to the mounting rod and define first and second axes. Right and left tubular members are sleeved on and are rotatable relative to the right and left shafts about the first and second axes, respectively. Right and left treadles are respectively anchored to the right and left tubular members to be rotatable therewith. A pull rope includes first and second ends respectively secured to the right and left tubular members, and an intermediate friction segment wound around a rim of a pulley member which is spaced apart from the mounting rod.

  • Patent number: 6206811
Abstract: An exerciser includes two elongated barrel members, two force-bearing members, two elastic units, and a barrel-connecting member. Each barrel member is formed with an insert hole, a longitudinally extending slide channel, a longitudinal slit that extends parallel to and that permits access to the slide channel, and an anchoring block disposed adjacent to one end of the slide channel. Each force-bearing member has a slidable block portion disposed in and slidable along the slide channel of a respective barrel member, and a force-bearing portion extending laterally from the slidable block portion and out of the slide channel of the respective barrel member via the longitudinal slit. Each elastic unit is disposed in the slide channel of a respective barrel member, and has one end connected to the anchoring block of the respective barrel member, and an opposite end connected to the slidable block portion that is disposed in the slide channel of the respective barrel member.
