  • Patent number: 9184001
Abstract: A keyboard includes a main board and at least one key structure positioned on the main board. The key structure includes a key switch and a key cap. The key cap is combined with the key switch. The key switch includes a key base and a shaft movably positioned on the key base. The keycap includes a main body and a cushion member. The main body is positioned on the shaft of the key switch. The main body is spaced apart from the contact surface of the key base. The main body is moved forward and backward relative to the key base with movement of the shaft. The cushion member is positioned at one side of the main body facing the contact surface. While the main body is moved to the contact surface, the cushion member abuts on the contact surface, so as to avoid the main body from hitting the key base directly, and hence minimizing the noise that is produced by the moving parts.

  • Patent number: 9070520
Abstract: An illuminated keyboard includes a first housing and a second housing having a slot, and between the first housing and the second housing, an illumination module, a circuit board, a shield member and a plurality of keys are disposed therein in sequence. The illumination module includes a cover and a luminescence unit, light generated by the luminescence unit is transmitted into a trough of the cover and then travels from a light incident surface to a light emitting surface of the cover. The keys respectively are inserted in a plurality of openings of the shield member, and the light from the light emitting surface is projected on the keys through the circuit board and the openings of the shield member and then passes through the slot of the second housing. This prevents brightness non-uniformity of keys and light leakage between adjacent keys of the keyboard.

  • Patent number: 8927884
Abstract: A replaceable key module for a keyboard, comprising: a keycap holder, a springy member and a keycap. The keycap holder embraces an accommodation space, a first surface having an opening, and a second surface having a hole. The springy member is located on the second surface and within the accommodation space of the keycap holder. The keycap is movably connected to the springy member through the opening of the first surface of the keycap holder and capable of moving between a released position and a depressed position. The keycap is referred to as in a released position when not depressed and in a depressed position pushing the springy member to be deformed downwardly when depressed. By means of adjusting some factors such as hardness, length, material and pressing angle of the springy member, the user may obtain the key module with the specified pressure load as desired.
