The shell is mounted on the insulative housing and the mounting bracket and has a cavity. The metal cover is mounted securely on the shell and has a cover body and multiple soldering feet. The metal cover enhances the structural strength of the shell to improve the durability of repeated engagement and disengagement of the interference proof electrical receptacle connector.

    Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector is provided and includes an insulating housing, receptacle terminals, and a shield shell covering the insulating housing. The receptacle terminals, arranged in a row and disposed on the insulating housing, sequentially include a first ground terminal, a first power terminal, two first differential signal terminals, a second power terminal, and a second ground terminal. The electrical receptacle connector is capable of receiving an electrical plug connector to be inserted therein in either upside-up or upside-down directions. The electrical plug connector includes upper-row plug terminals and lower-row plug terminals arranged in 2-fold rotational symmetry. Therefore, the electrical receptacle connector using the single-row receptacle terminals and the electrical plug connector using the corresponding double-row plug terminals compose a new type of USB Type-C connectors.

The insulated housing has a connection plate, a raised portion, and two coupling portions at two opposite sides of the raised portion. The raised portion defines a plurality of contact grooves. Each coupling portion is formed in front of the raised portion. The two narrow metal brackets are provided for mounting with the coupling portions of the insulated housing. Each narrow metal bracket has a main plate, front and rear interference tabs for being interfered with one coupling portion of the insulated housing, and at least one positioning tab for being fixed onto the circuit board. The conductive contacts are fitted through the contact grooves of the raised portion.

The elastic pieces are disposed on the first surfaces. The auxiliary fastening members are disposed on the first surfaces. Each auxiliary fastening member includes a contacting portion formed extendedly at an inner side of the inserting window. When the contacting portions connected with the casing, the contact area between the casing and the auxiliary fastening members can be increased by the contacting portions so as to reduce the contact impedance or resistance between the plug connector and the receptacle connector.

Multiple recesses, protrusions or elongated recesses are selectively formed on at least one of the top plate, the bottom plate for connecting the resilient plates. These can avoid electromagnetic interference, dusts or any external substances from attaching to the insulating house and also ensure a high quality of the insertion force and the extraction force after frequent uses.

    Abstract: A terminal for an antenna connector has a soldering base, two wings, a resilient electric contacting arm, and two pre-pressing elements. The wings are formed on the soldering base and each wing has an opening. The resilient electric contacting arm is formed on and protrudes from a rear end of the soldering base and has an extension section, a resilient section, and an electronic contacting section. The pre-pressing elements are located respectively in the openings of the wings, pre-press the resilient section of the resilient electric contacting arm toward the soldering base, and limit the resilient section to sway in an extent from an inner upper edge of each opening to the soldering base. The terminal with the pre-pressing elements performs excellent electrical contacting effect to improve signal transmission of the antenna connector and a corresponding antenna module.

    Abstract: An electric connector comprises an insulation body, a shielding shell, first and second conductive terminals, and a holding member. The insulation body has a base and a tongue blade extended horizontally forward from the base. The shielding shell encases the insulation body. Each first or second conductive terminal has an anchor section fixedly located in the insulation body, a contact section extended forward from the anchor section and located on the tongue blade, and a welding section bent upward from the anchor section and extended outside the base. The holding member located on the base has an elongate slot and apertures that run through the base up and down. The elongate slot allows the welding sections of the first conductive terminals to pass through and anchor therein. Each aperture allows the welding section of each second conductive terminal to pass through and anchor therein.
