  • Publication number: 20240132923
Abstract: Provided is a recombinant microorganism including at least two genes for producing itaconic acid and its derived monomers, and the at least two genes are located on the same expression vector. The at least two genes include one encoding cis-aconitic acid decarboxylase and the other one encoding aconitase, and the genome of the recombinant microorganism includes a gene encoding the molecular chaperone protein GroELS. Also provided is a method for producing itaconic acid by using the microorganism.

  • Patent number: 11935678
Abstract: An inductive device may be provided, including a first winding layer, a second winding layer arranged over the first winding layer and connected to the first winding layer to form a plurality of turns around a first axis, and a magnetic core arranged vertically between the first winding layer and the second winding layer. The magnetic core may include a portion entirely over the first winding layer and entirely under the second winding layer, where this portion may include a magnetic segment and a non-magnetic segment arranged laterally adjacent to each other along the first axis.

  • Patent number: 9031631
Abstract: A head-mountable EEG electrode-containing device is provided based on radially adjustable electrodes to fit the wearer's unique head size and shape. The head-mountable device with an electrode array positioned therein includes multiple head-mountable device sections that are interconnected by mechanical fasteners to facilitate sizing and positioning of the head-mountable device. An array of resilient sleeves is positioned within each head-mountable device section. Each resilient sleeve houses an individual electrode and is deformable for self-orienting. The deformation of the sleeve is such that a central axis passing through the individual electrode housed within the resilient sleeve is maintained in a position approximately normal to a plane tangential to a scalp portion positioned beneath that electrode.

  • Patent number: 8540652
Abstract: The present invention relates a system and method to allow users to train different joints of a limb in different planes. The rotation of the system can be driven by a motor to assist or resist the motion for training purpose. By the present invention, the user can use the device to switch training between the vertical and horizontal planes, without changing the device and any module. The system is also adjustable to meet different users' body sizes.
