  • Publication number: 20130285940
Abstract: A distance-tracking touch detection controller operable to enable functions of an electronic device based on a user's gestures and location of touch on his own body. The distance-tracking touch detection controller comprises a distance meter and a control interface coupled with the distance meter. When user touches his own body, the distance meter detects the touched location or the trajectory of touched locations and generates a detecting signal. The control interface is coupled with the distance meter, and the control interface reads the detecting signal to generate a control signal. The control signal is operable to enable one or more functions of an electronic device. Moreover, a method of operating the distance-tracking touch detection controller is presented.

  • Patent number: 8199089
Abstract: A device for tuning an output enable signal and a method thereof are provided. In the method, a first scan signal and a second scan signal are filtered out according to a duty cycle of the output enable signal, so as to provide a first output scan signal and a second output scan signal. The duty cycle of the output enable signal is increased when a voltage level of the second output scan signal is converted from a disable state to an enable state before a voltage level of the first output scan signal is converted from an enable state to a disable state. Thereby, a rewriting problem is avoided.

  • Patent number: 8125478
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) and a switching voltage controlling circuit thereof are provided. The LCD includes a display panel and a number of gate drivers. The switching voltage controlling circuit includes a current-controlled switch, a transmission line, and a feedback circuit. A first terminal and a second terminal of the current-controlled switch are respectively coupled to a constant voltage and a first terminal of the transmission line. The transmission line is serially coupled to the gate drivers. Each of the gate drivers generates a switching voltage according to a voltage provided by the transmission line and controls pixel units of the display panel. The feedback circuit regulates an amount of a current passing through the current-controlled switch according to a voltage difference between the first terminal and a second terminal of the transmission line. Thereby, color errors occurring between blocks of the display panel can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20110254830
Abstract: A scan signal transmission system and a method thereof are provided, which are applicable to a display device. The system includes a display area circuit and a gate circuit, the display area circuit has a plurality of pixel scan lines, and the gate circuit is connected to each of the pixel scan lines. The gate circuit is used for obtaining a scan signal from a clock generator, so as to transmit the scan signal to each of the pixel scan lines sequentially. During each frame scan operation, the gate circuit transmits the scan signal to the pixel scan lines in a reverse signal transmission direction.

  • Publication number: 20100321359
Abstract: A common voltage generating circuit of an LCD includes a first flip-flop, a capacitor, a resistor and a regulating circuit. The first flip-flop receives a data-loading signal from the LCD, for outputting a step signal. The step signal forms a waveform voltage through the capacitor and the resistor. The regulating circuit inverts the waveform voltage and adjusts the magnitude and the DC level of the waveform voltage, for generating a common voltage. Compare to the common voltage of the color filter base plate, the common voltage generated by the common voltage generating circuit have the same frequency and magnitude, but opposite direction. Therefore, by generating the common voltage of opposite direction, the present invention eliminates crosstalk and improves uneven brightness of the displayed image.
