Abstract: Communication devices and methods are proposed for providing communication channel. In one example, devices and methods are capable of reaching one or more terminals that are not in a public network. In addition, depending on the network or the networks that the terminals are located, some examples may be capable of establishing a less indirect or a direct communication channel between two terminals after they communicate through an intermediate system. In another example, a triggering packet may be sent to provide a binding at an interface of a private network, such as an NAT, thereby reducing or eliminating communication through a relay server.
