  • Patent number: 9012365
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a method for minimizing the formation of insoluble salts of phenoxy herbicides. The method comprises (1) mixing a compatibility agent, amine salts of phenoxy acid herbicides, and a chemical containing non-amine cations in a aqueous system to form a stable and non-nozzle plugging solution; and (2) application of said stable and non-nozzle plugging solution onto target plants.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 30, 2007
Date of Patent: April 21, 2015
    Assignee: Akzo Nobel N.V.
Inventors: Jinxia Susan Sun, Shawn Zhu, Shuaib A. Khan

  • Patent number: 5565409
Abstract: There is disclosed a liquid concentrate herbicidal composition comprising:at least 15% by weight based on the total composition of N-phosphonomethylglycine or of a salt thereof or of a mixture of salts thereof (calculated as acid equivalent);a water-insoluble diphenyl ether type herbicide (oxyfluorfen or acifluorfen) in the ratio by weight of N-phosphonomethylglycine a.e. to diphenyl ether type herbicide of from about 10:1 to about 100:1;about 5 to about 25% by weight of a surface active component comprising a mixture of an alkoxylated fatty amine with a surfactant chemically different from the alkoxylated fatty amine;0 to about 10% by weight of solvent, the surface active component optionally with admixture of the solvent being capable of dissolving the diphenyl ether herbicide;about 1 to about 25% by weight of a compatibility agent; andwater if necessary to total 100%.

  • Patent number: 4507133
Abstract: An improved process is described for the separation and recovery of substantially all the propane and heavier hydrocarbon components in a hydrocarbon gaseous feedstream. In this process, the vapor stream from a deethanizer is cooled to liquefaction and contacted with a vapor phase from the hydrocarbon gaseous feedstream. The contact takes place within a direct heat exchanger, and the resulting vapor fraction, which is essentially ethane and methane, is the gaseous product of the process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 29, 1983
Date of Patent: March 26, 1985
    Assignee: Exxon Production Research Co.
Inventors: Shuaib A. Khan, James Haliburton
