  • Publication number: 20130023303
Abstract: A communications apparatus is provided. A processor is coupled to a subscriber identity card and a radio transceiver module. The subscriber identity card camps on a first cell operated in a first serving network having a first serving network identifier via the radio transceiver module. The processor embeds information regarding the first serving network identifier in a first signal and transmits the first signal to a peer communications apparatus via the radio transceiver module.

  • Publication number: 20130023252
Abstract: A communications apparatus is provided. A processor is coupled to a subscriber identity card and a radio transceiver module. The subscriber identity card camps on a cell operating in a serving network having a serving network identifier via the radio transceiver module. The processor at least includes a first processor logic unit obtaining information regarding the serving network identifier, a second processor logic unit carrying the information regarding the serving network identifier in a message to be transmitted to the serving network, and a third processor logic unit transmitting the message to the serving network via the radio transceiver module.

  • Publication number: 20120322504
Abstract: A communication apparatus is provided. A first subscriber identity card camps on a first cell, which is associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and belongs to a first wireless network, via a radio transceiver module. A second subscriber identity card camps on a second cell, which is associated with a second RAT and belongs to a second wireless network, via the radio transceiver module. A processor constructs a first packet switch connection with the first wireless network via the first subscriber identity card to perform data transfer in the first wireless network, measures a first data transfer throughput of the first wireless network when performing the data transfer via the first subscriber identity card, and determines to perform the data transfer in the second wireless network via the second subscriber identity card when a theoretical data transfer throughput corresponding to the second RAT is higher than the first data transfer throughput.

  • Publication number: 20110130100
Abstract: A method for monitoring paging messages in a mobile station with a subscriber identity card camping on a cell is provided. A paging channel is monitored at every end of predetermined time interval subsequent to the last monitored time. It is detected whether the same identity information is repeatedly broadcasted in the paging channel at different ends of predetermined time interval. A new time interval is determined when detecting that the same identity information is repeatedly broadcasted. The paging channel is monitored at every end of new time interval subsequent to the last monitored time so as to receive subsequent paging messages from the cell, wherein the new time interval is longer than the predetermined time interval.

  • Patent number: 6646259
Abstract: A method of sample preparation for transmission electron microscope analysis is disclosed. The method renders a typical TEM analysis on a sample having a photoresist layer practical. The method uses a conductive layer and a dielectric layer to protect a photoresist layer of the TEM sample from slicing damage and ion bombardment. The conductive layer and the dielectric layer can also isolate the photoresist layer from moisture and oxygen containing environments and prevent the photoresist layer from shrinking. Moreover, the entire TEM sample preparation process need not use any organic solvent or water to clean the sample.

  • Patent number: 6616784
Abstract: A fabrication method for a transmission electron microscope (TEM) slide is described. A die having device structures formed thereon is provided. A thermal adhesive fills the surface of device structures formed on the die. The thermal adhesive is covered by a glass piece. A polishing step is performed to a non-device side of the die to form a thin sheet from the die. The glass piece is removed to expose the thermal adhesive. A sacrificial layer is then formed above the exposed thermal adhesive on the thin sheet. A slicing step is performed to form a TEM slide from the thin sheet.
