  • Publication number: 20240066898
Abstract: A printing device 1 includes a print section 8 for printing on a continuous medium M, a pair of holding sections 3 each having an insertion section 15 configured to be inserted into one of a first winding core of the wound medium M or a second winding core for winding the medium M from an outer side in an extending direction of the winding core, and a support section 19 for supporting the holding section 3, wherein the support section 19 is disposed closer to the print section 8 than the holding section 3 in a first direction, which is a direction from the holding section 3 toward the support section 19, of directions perpendicular to the extending direction of the winding core. By adopting the printing device 1 having such a configuration, it is possible to configure the printing device 1 to be lowered.

  • Patent number: 9931870
Abstract: A printer can suppress paper lifting away from the platen surface even when conveying strong paper (regardless of paper strength) (a printer that can suppress paper uplift from the platen and is not easily affected by the type of paper). A printer 40 in which the platen surface 42a is on the inkjet head 21 side of a plane C through position A where paper 11 is held by a conveyance roller 36, and position B where the paper is held by a discharge roller, has: on the printhead 21 side of the plane C between the platen 42 and conveyance roller 36, at least one entry angle control unit 44 that contacts the paper 11 conveyed toward the platen surface 42a, and controls the entry angle of the paper 11 to the platen surface 42a; and on the printhead 21 side of the plane C between the platen 42 and the discharge roller 37, at least one exit angle control unit 46 that contacts the paper 11 conveyed in the direction away from the platen surface 42a, and controls the exit angle of the paper 11 from the platen surface 42a.

  • Patent number: 9205684
Abstract: A printer capable of preventing clogging the printhead nozzles due to paper dust produced from sprocket holes in continuous paper, and preventing the printhead from ejecting ink droplets except on the continuous paper, has a printhead that ejects ink droplets toward continuous paper having sprocket holes formed along both sides of the paper width; a cover member that covers the edge part of the width of the continuous paper where sprocket holes are formed in the range of the printhead in the conveyance direction of the continuous paper, and can move in the paper width direction; and a detection mechanism that detects the position of the cover member in the paper width direction.
