Abstract: A stationary thread-cutting device for a sewing machine includes a guiding member and a cutter. The guiding member is mounted on a needle plate, and has a major wall defining a thread guiding route. The guiding route includes a lead-in area having an entry slot to permit entry of a leading end of a bobbin thread, a turn-around area for guiding the leading end, a corner piece disposed at the turn-around area, and a cutting station disposed adjacent to a lateral edge of the needle plate to define a lead-out path with the corner piece. The cutter is disposed under the major wall and adjacent to the cutting station, and has a cutting blade. After the bobbin thread is advanced beyond the cutting station, the bobbin thread is cut, thereby ensuring that a predetermined length of the bobbin thread is available for initial interlacing with a needle thread in a sewing operation.

Abstract: A thread cutting device for a sewing machine with a hook rotatable in a vertical plane includes a drive motor, a fixed knife which has a working-side wall extending towards a thread fetching zone of the sewing machine to terminate at a first cutting edge, and a movable knife which is driven by the drive motor to angularly move between fetching and thread cutting positions in a vertical plane. The movable knife has a lateral edge surface defining a cavity in an intermediate segment thereof to engage lower and upper threads when the movable knife reaches the fetching position. The movable knife has a second cutting edge disposed to press the first cutting edge so as to complete a cutting action.

Abstract: A sewing machine includes: a memory unit for storing design pattern information corresponding to different design patterns, and stitch type information corresponding to different types of stitch patterns; a selecting unit operable so as to output a control signal corresponding to a selected design pattern and a selected type of the stitch pattern; a processing unit coupled to the memory and the selecting unit, and responsive to the control signal from the selecting unit to output an image signal; and a projector receiving the image signal from the processing unit and operable so as to project an image corresponding to the image signal. The image shows a picture corresponding to the selected design pattern and having a contour formed by the selected type of the stitch pattern.

Abstract: A printing device includes a cloth-holding frame unit mounted fittingly and detachably in a receiving groove in a base, and having a lock bolt for locking an outer frame on a looped inner frame disposed on and surrounded by the outer frame such that a piece of cloth is held tensionally between the inner and outer frames. A cover is connected pivotally to the base for covering the receiving groove in the base, and is configured with an inner accommodating space in spatial communication with the receiving groove in the base. A coloring unit is mounted on the cover, is disposed movably in the inner accommodating space in the cover and above the piece of cloth, and is operable so as to spray a coloring material onto the piece of cloth, thereby printing a picture onto the piece of cloth with the coloring material sprayed from said coloring unit.

Abstract: A device for coloring a thread body includes a thread-feeding unit adapted for feeding the thread body at a predetermined speed such that the thread body is transported along a feeding path. A coloring unit is disposed fixedly adjacent to the feeding path, and is operable so as to spray a coloring material onto the thread body. A control unit is connected electrically to the coloring unit, and is operable so as to control the coloring unit to spray the coloring material, which has a desired one of a plurality of different colors.

Abstract: A sewing machine includes a needle plate with a cutout part, and a guide plate connected to a bottom side of the needle plate and extending substantially across the cutout part. The guide plate includes a pair of slide rails, an opening substantially corresponding in position to a bobbin case, and a curved thread guide slot having one end communicated with the opening and another end extending to one of the slide rails. A slide cover covers the cutout part and is slidable along the slide rails. A cutter is disposed at the lateral edge proximate to one of the slide rails. A lower thread guide extends along one of the slide rails from another end of the thread guide slot toward the cutter for guiding a lower thread from the bobbin case to extend to the cutter.
