  • Patent number: 11151409
Abstract: The present technology relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program that are designed to enable easy generation of a path for successively displaying characteristic images. The information processing device includes a setting unit that sets a path for connecting characteristic portions in at least one image by referring to metadata including at least information about feature points detected from the image. The setting unit sets the path by determining a regression curve, using the feature points. In a case where the feature points include a feature point at a distance equal to or longer than a predetermined threshold value from the regression curve, the setting unit redetermines the regression curve after removing a feature point detected from an image including a feature point having a low score among the feature points. The present technology can be applied to information processing devices that process still images and moving images.

  • Patent number: 11128811
Abstract: An information processing apparatus including circuitry that connects a reference image and a target image with at least one of a plurality of complement images based on a reference viewpoint of a subject and a target viewpoint of the subject in response to an identification of the target viewpoint. Each of the plurality of complement images corresponds to a complementary viewpoint of the subject between the reference viewpoint and the target viewpoint. At least one of the plurality of complement images is an interpolation image, which is an image corresponding to a virtual viewpoint along the virtual path.

  • Patent number: 10944899
Abstract: An image processing device uses a first image captured by a first lens with an unknown focal length and a second image captured by a second lens with a known focal length to calculate the focal length of the first lens.

  • Patent number: 8368768
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes: a straight edge detection section that detects a straight edge of an object in at least one of first and second original images obtained by capturing the identical object from two different viewpoints; a first morphing processing section that performs a first morphing process, which does not include parallelization of the original images, on the original images to generate a first intermediate image seen from a virtual viewpoint between the two viewpoints; a distortion determination section that determines whether or not an edge of the object in the first intermediate image that corresponds to the straight edge detected by the straight edge detection section is distorted; and a second morphing processing section that, if the edge is distorted, performs a second morphing process, which includes parallelization of the original images, on the original images to generate a second intermediate image seen from the virtual viewpoint.
