  • Patent number: 5983027
Abstract: A lens-fitted film unit has a light tight unit body made up of a main body assembly including at least an exposure mechanism and injection molded polystyrene front and rear covers between which the main body assembly is interposed and a looped body-band label fitted to the light tight unit body. The looped body-band label is made of a polypropylene film sheet only, or otherwise a polypropylene film sheet laminated with a polystyrene film sheet, which has a thickness less than approximately 60 .mu.m. The polypropylene film sheet has a tensile strength greater than approximately 7.times.10.sup.3 N/m and a bending moment less than approximately 3.times.10.sup.-4 N.multidot.m and has a weight less than 1.5% with respect to the total weight of the injection molded polystyrene front and rear covers.

  • Patent number: 5738211
Abstract: A packaging bag for wrapping a product with an outwardly extended projection has a side sealing portion and opposite end margin sealing portions. The side margin sealing portion is formed by heat-sealing lengthwise side margins of wrapping sheet into a shape of a rectangular tube. The end margin sealing portions are formed by heat-sealing opposite end margins of the rectangular tube. A notch is provided at an edge of the first end margin sealing portion near the side margin sealing portion to make an opening in the package by tearing at least the side margin sealing portion. A tray is provided for removing the product from the packaging bag and for protecting the outwardly extended projection of the product.

  • Patent number: 4592885
Abstract: A method for manufacturing film without melt fracturing in which a flow of a polymer solution having a high viscosity extruded from a die slit onto a running and spreading plane is extruded through the die slit together with a low viscosity solution with the polymer solution is covered by the low viscosity solution. In a first preferred embodiment, the low viscosity solution is passed through a confluence tube so as to surround the high viscosity solution in the form of a coaxial cylinder after which the two solutions are passed through a slit die which maintains the covering relationship between the high and low viscosity solutions. In another preferred embodiment, a slit die is provided which has a central passage into which the high viscosity fluid is supplied and side passages of a slit-like shape similar to that of the main passage into which the low viscosity solution is supplied.
