    Abstract: A process for producing a flexible or rigid polyurethane foam is provided in which a polyol and a polyisocyante are reacted in the presence of an amine catalyst, a blowing agent, and a foam stabilizer, the amine catalyst comprising at least one amine compound represented by General Formula (1) below: ##STR1## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 are respectively an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbons independently; n is an integer of 0 or 1; and A is an alkyl group of 11 to 14 carbons when n is 0, or an alkylene group of 10 to 15 carbons when n is 1. The amine catalyst has low odor and low volatility, and gives high curing rate, and excellent moldability with a formulation of reduced fluorocarbon and increased water as the blowing agent.

    Abstract: A process is provided for producing a polyurethane foam having a high-density skin layer by reacting a polyol with a polyisocyanate in a short time. The reaction is allowed to proceed in the presence of a blowing agent, a catalyst, and optionally an additive, the blowing agent being composed only of water, and the catalyst being an amine represented by formula (I) below and/or an organic acid salt thereof: ##STR1## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 are, independently, an alkyl group of 1 to 12 carbons, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, and/or R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may be linked to form a cycloalkyl or heterocyclic ring together with the adjacent nitrogen atom; and R.sub.5 is hydrogen, an alkyl group of 1 to 12 carbons, a phenyl group, or a cycloalkyl group. This process does not use halogenated hydrocarbons which cause ozone layer destruction.

    Abstract: A colored polymer emulsion having dispersed therein particles of a copolymer having at least 2.times.10.sup.-5 g-eq./g of the copolymer, of a phosphoric acid group or salt thereof. The emulsion is capable of forming a film having an improved water resistance and light resistance. The emulsion is prepared by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising (a - 1) a monomer having a phosphoric acid group or a salt thereof, (a - 2) a hydrophobic monomer and (b) a optional hydrophilic monomer by an emulsion polymerization procedure, and then incorporating a basic dye to the obtained polymer emulsion, or by carrying out the emulsion polymerization in the presence of a basic dye.
