  • Patent number: 7862674
Abstract: In a forming method for forming an assembly of a bead core and an apex rubber, there is used a rotating body which comprises a rotating base substance having an assembly forming surface, and a core receiving portion projecting from the rotating base substance in the axially outward direction of the rotating base substance. The core receiving portion projecting has a receiving surface supporting the radially inner peripheral surface of the bead core. The apex rubber is formed by winding an unvulcanized rubber strip along the assembly forming surface from a starting position constituted by the radially outer peripheral surface of the bead core supported on the receiving surface so as to laminate in a tapered cross sectional shape.

  • Publication number: 20070151653
Abstract: In a strip wind construction method, the invention provides a manufacturing method of a rubber member for a tire which can reduce an air remnant in a rubber member. A rubber member has an inside first layer formed by spirally winding a rubber strip from a starting point corresponding to any one of reference positions of a center position of a wound body and a side edge to the other reference position in an axial direction in a half region between the center position and an outer edge in a tire axial direction of a winding region, and a second layer formed by folding back from a starting point corresponding to the other reference position to the other in an axial direction, and the reference position corresponding to the starting pint is set to a line-symmetrical position around the center position.

  • Patent number: 5928679
Abstract: An elastomeric extruding apparatus having a head, to which a plurality of extruders are coupled, and a rotatable, driven roller disposed at the front end of the head so as to form an extruding space between the roller and the head. The head is provided with a passage arrangement, through which the elastomeric materials pass, eventually opening into the extruding space. The extruding space has a uniform chamber extending from the opening of the passage arrangement and a finishing chamber communicating with the uniform chamber for shaping the elastomer into its final sectional shape.

  • Patent number: 5294281
Abstract: A chuck (4) grasping the front edge of a tire component material (S) which is supplied from a material feeder (3) generates a motional locus through an initial ascending motion and through a forward motion toward the former and through a subsequent descending motion to the former to lay the front edge onto the carcass (T). A pressing mechanism (6) operates to press the introduced material (S) on the carcass (T), and concurrently the former (2) rotates by a predetermined rotation angle to adhere the tire component material (S) onto the carcass (T). Thereafter a cutter assembly (5) operates to cut the tire component material (S) in a length corresponding to the sum of a required length for joint and a full circumferential length of the carcass. The former (2) rotates again to adhere the tire component material (S) onto the full circumference of the carcass (T), and the front edge and a last edge of the tire component material are jointed by the pressing mechanism (6) so that the adhesion is completed.
