    Abstract: The present invention is directed to an antimicrobial shoe insole comprising an antimicrobial composition. The antimicrobial shoe insole has the density from 0.12 to 0.30 g/cm3, preferably 0.18 to 0.22 g/cm3, the hardness of the shore C is 28 to 45, the ball rebound rate is ?65%, and anti-fatigue test (20% compression rate) is over 10,000 times. The antimicrobial shoe insole is formulated to have a sterilization rate over 99.99%, durable, and the mildew resistance index can be zero with no detectable mildew growth.

    Abstract: The method forms a porous polyurethane polishing pad by coagulating thermoplastic polyurethane to create a porous matrix having large pores extending upward from a base surface and open to an upper surface. The large pores are interconnected with small pores. Heating a press to temperature below or above the softening onset temperature of the thermoplastic polyurethane forms a series of pillows. Plastic deforming side walls of the pillow structures forms downwardly sloped side walls. The downwardly sloped side walls extend from all sides of the pillow structures. The large pores open to the downwardly sloped sidewalls are less vertical than the large pores open to the top polishing surface and are offset 10 to 60 degrees from the vertical direction.

In addition, the grooved bicomponent monofilaments may include a wear-indicating mechanism. Also disclosed are monofilaments with grooves formed in its surfaces. Advantageously, these grooved monofilaments exhibit improved adhesion to “sheet-grip” coatings, as compared with circular monofilaments. In addition, fabrics comprising these grooved monofilaments demonstrate improved air handling. The grooved monofilaments may be incorporated in a fabric as MD yarns, CD yarns, or both CD and MD yarns.
