  • Patent number: 9879678
Abstract: An object is to enable suppression of degradation of reliability by supporting a flange portion of a crankshaft with a bearing while downsizing a scroll compressor by reducing the size of the flange portion of the crankshaft. A scroll compressor includes: a fixed scroll fixed to a frame; an orbiting scroll forming a compression chamber by performing an orbital motion with respect to the fixed scroll; an electric motor that drives the orbiting scroll via the crankshaft; and a bearing part provided on the lower side from the flange portion of the crankshaft that rotatably supports a main shaft part of the crankshaft. The scroll compressor furthers has a thrust stopper, provided between the flange portion and the bearing part, in contact with the flange portion on the upper side and in contact with the bearing part on the lower side. Assuming that the outer diameter of the flange portion 12d is ?Dt and the outer diameter of the thrust stopper is ?Ds, ?Dt<?Ds holds.

  • Patent number: 8888476
Abstract: The inside of a sealed container (50) of a horizontal scroll compressor is partitioned by a partition plate (80) into a space in which a compressor mechanism section and an electric motor are contained and into a discharge space (84) in which a discharge pipe (52) and an oil supply pump (70) are contained. An upper communication path (85) and a path guide member (81) are provided in the upper part of the partition plate, and a refrigerant gas passes through the upper communication path (85). The path guide member is located below the discharge pipe (52), is extended to a position near a side surface of the sealed container, and has a path area greater than the path area of the discharge pipe. The construction causes the refrigerant gas to collide with the side surface of the sealed container, promoting separation of oil, and even if the oil is re-dispersed by a gas flow, the construction reduces flow directly leading to the discharge pipe.

  • Publication number: 20140010693
Abstract: A scroll compressor contains a suction chamber and a compression chamber formed between the orbiting scroll and stationary scroll; and the rear surface of the orbiting scroll includes a back pressure chamber to apply a pressing force for pressing the stationary scroll to the orbiting scroll by the pressure higher than the pressure in the suction chamber. The stationary scroll contains the communication paths 200, 201 to connect the suction chamber or the compression chamber and the back pressure chamber; and a back pressure control means for opening and closing the communication paths by way of the pressure differential along the communication paths. The inlet communication path 200 that extends from the back pressure control means to the back pressure chamber includes at least two or more path cross-sectional areas.
