  • Publication number: 20020176739
Abstract: In an arrangement for attaching a pair of members to each other, a spacer member provides the function to extend and retract in the axial direction so that the positioning of a first member to a second member is facilitated because a gap may be defined between the two members before joining them to each other, and the dimensional precision between the steering hanger pipe and the front pillar of the vehicle body is not required to be unduly high. This gap is filled by the spacer member as a threaded bolt is fastened owing to the action of a reverse thread, and the two members can be firmly attached to each other without involving any unacceptable deformation of the two members.

  • Publication number: 20020045450
Abstract: In accordance with a handoff method, when a handoff of mobile terminal equipment from a previous foreign agent to a new foreign agent is detected, the mobile terminal equipment is doubly registered with either a home agent or a gateway foreign agent so that the mobile terminal equipment is associated with both the previous foreign agent and the new foreign agent. During the handoff, either the home agent or the gateway foreign agent determines whether or not an IP packet destined for the mobile terminal equipment is of real-time traffic, and then bicasts the IP packet to both the previous foreign agent and the new foreign agent if the IP packet is of real-time traffic, and buffers the IP packet otherwise. When the handoff is completed, the regional registration with either the home agent or the gateway foreign agent is updated so that the mobile terminal equipment is associated only with the new foreign agent.

  • Patent number: 6341804
Abstract: A slip-out preventive unit of a supply exhaust pipe assembly with a supply exhaust pipe forming a faucet at one end and forming an insertion port at the other end. The faucet having a cut window to allow the lock portion of a lock member to pass through the faucet to engage a circumferential groove of the insertion port. A slip-out prevention unit of which the lock member is a component, to guide and constrain the lock member to engage the circumferential groove, resulting in the holding of the insertion port within the faucet preventing unwanted separation after connection of the assembly. A slide guide allows movement of the lock member in an axial direction of the faucet where the tip of the lock member may be constrained from radial movement of the engagement portion of the lock member by a locking bag wall upon an attempt to separate the insert portion from the faucet.

  • Patent number: 5926477
Abstract: When a signal is transmitted from an STM line to an ATM relay channel, the signal is compressed to be cell assembled into a cell. To the contrary, a signal from the ATM relay channel is cell disassembled into separate data and then expanded. In cases where signals are exchanged between ATM relay channels, a multistage relay device does not repeatedly execute signal compression/expansion to the signal. Switching for the above operations is achieved, utilizing a signal pattern inserted into audio data. With this arrangement, an audio one-link operation is established in the environment where an STM and an ATM coexist. Because compression/expansion processes are not repeatedly conducted, delay in relaying is avoided.
