  • Publication number: 20150202123
Abstract: A dental curable composition containing fluoroaluminosilicate glass particles (A), basic calcium phosphate particles (B1), acidic calcium phosphate particles (B2), a polyalkenic acid (C), tartaric acid (D), and water (E), wherein the dental curable composition contains 70 to 99 parts by weight of (A), 1 to 30 parts by weight in total of (B1) and (B2), 10 to 40 parts by weight of (C), 0.3 to 10 parts by weight of (D), and 10 to 90 parts by weight of (E) each relative to 100 parts by weight in total of (A), (B1), and (B2), and a Ca/P ratio of a sum of (B1) and (B2) is from 1.10 to 1.95. Accordingly, provided is a dental curable composition that is high in mechanical strength, particularly compressive strength, and excellent in remineralization capability.

  • Patent number: 8932060
Abstract: Dentinal tubules sealing method using dentinal tubules sealant that is to be applied to a dentin surface to fill solid particles into dentinal tubules, wherein the dentinal tubules sealant comprises a water-based dispersing agent in which solid particles are dispersed and which has a solid/liquid ratio of from 0.3 to 2.6, and the method comprises applying the dentinal tubules sealant to a dentin surface to fill solid particles into dentinal tubules, and then removing a solid component adhering to the dentin surface by scrubbing using water. Thus, pains, hyperesthesia, and so on are allowed to be suppressed because dentinal tubules will be filled and sealed with solid particles and a curable composition is allowed to exhibit improved adhesive properties to a dentin surface because solid components adhering to the dentin surface can be removed by scrubbing using water.

  • Publication number: 20130251767
Abstract: A method for inhibiting dentinal hypersensitivity by applying a dentinal hypersensitivity inhibitor on a dentin surface. The dentinal hypersensitivity inhibitor contains at least one tetracalcium phosphate particle, an alkali metal salt of phosphoric acid, and at least one acidic calcium phosphate particle. The tetracalcium phosphate particle has an average particle diameter of 0.5 to 40 ?m. The dentinal hypersensitivity inhibitor contains a blended amount of the tetracalcium phosphate particle of 5 to 55 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of a whole amount of the dentinal hypersensitivity inhibitor and a blended amount of the alkali metal salt of phosphoric acid of 1 to 100 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the tetracalcium phosphate particle.

  • Publication number: 20130189337
Abstract: A dentinal tubule sealant comprises poorly-soluble calcium phosphate particles (A), a phosphorus-free calcium compound (B), and water (C), wherein the particles (A) are at least one member selected from the group consisting of dicalcium phosphate anhydrous [CaHPO4] particles, ?-tricalcium phosphate [?-Ca3(PO4)2] particles, ?-tricalcium phosphate [?-Ca3(PO4)2] particles, amorphous calcium phosphate [Ca3(PO4)2.nH2O] particles, calcium pyrophosphate [Ca2P2O7] particles, calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate [Ca2P2O7.2H2O] particles, octacalcium phosphate pentahydrate [Ca8H2(PO4)6.5H2O] particles, and dicalcium phosphate dihydrate [CaHPO4.2H2O] particles, and the dentinal tubule sealant contains 30 to 76% by weight of the particles (A), 0.001 to 4% by weight of the compound (B), and 23 to 69% by weight of the water (C). Thus, there is provided a dentinal tubule sealant capable of sealing dentinal tubules of an exposed dentin and also remineralizing the surrounding dentin after the sealing.

  • Publication number: 20120027829
Abstract: A dentin mineralizing agent comprising tetracalcium phosphate particles (A) and an alkali metal salt of phosphoric acid (B), wherein the dentin mineralizing agent contains the tetracalcium phosphate particles (A) in an amount of 1 to 80 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the whole amount of the dentin mineralizing agent, and the blended amount of the alkali metal salt of phosphoric acid (B) relative to 100 parts by weight of the tetracalcium phosphate particles (A) is 1 to 100 parts by weight. Thus is provided a dentin mineralizing agent by which a dense HAp is formed on a dentin surface and HAp is deposited to a deep portion of a dentinal tubule, so that it can close the dentinal tubule.
