Abstract: A data processor includes first and second microprocessors. The first microprocessor is provided with an external terminal and is additionally fed with an instruction for checking whether a signal fed to that external terminal satisfies a predetermined condition or not thereby to instruct a branching operation if the predetermined condition is satisfied. As a result, the external status of the first microprocessor can be checked. The second microprocessor is provided with an external terminal and is additionally fed with an instruction for checking whether or not the internal status of the second microprocessor satisfies a predetermined condition and supplies the result of the checking operation to the outside of the second microprocessor through the external terminal. As a result the internal status of the second microprocessor can be judged from the outside. The second microprocessor is assigned an arithmetic function.

Abstract: A processor capable of processing data of a structure having a first information field and a second information field includes conservation means for conserving the information of the predetermined second information field of the input data. Thus, in executing a logical operation or a shift operation, the step of separating the first data fields and second data fields from the data to-be-processed and the step of affixing the predetermined second field to the result of the operation are dispensed with, thereby to achieve a high-speed operation for the data of the structure having the first information field and the second information field.

Abstract: In an indirect access system where an entry area of an object table is accessed and then an object area is accessed based on the content of the entry area, a data field to store the same information as prescribed information (class) in the object area is added to the entry area. Thereby when information (class) required to determine the subsequent information in the microprocessor is referred to, the object area need not be accessed. Accordingly, the execution speed can be improved.
