  • Publication number: 20080066503
Abstract: A double lock includes a base, a top cover, two snapping members, a locking seat, a movable jacket, a slide, a number lock core, and a key lock core. Thus, the double lock is locked and unlocked by the number lock core and the key lock core, so that a user can lock and unlock the number lock core to open and close the double lock, and the inspector of the customs can use a specific key to lock and unlock the key lock core to open and close the double lock, thereby facilitating the user and the inspector of the customs operating the double lock.

  • Patent number: 6523373
Abstract: A lock is designed to prevent theft of a notebook computer and is formed of a housing, a metal fastening, a locking mechanism, and a retaining mechanism. The locking mechanism includes an arresting bolt with a conical tip and a dial block. The retaining mechanism includes a retaining bolt with an inclined surface, which is pushed by the conical tip of the arresting bolt such that a hooked end of the retaining bolt is engaged with a T-shaped slot of the notebook computer at such time when the wheels of the locking mechanism are turned randomly. When the wheels of the locking mechanism are turned to a set series of numbers, the conical tip of the arresting bolt moves away from the inclined surface of the retaining bolt, thereby resulting in disengagement of the hooked end of the retaining bolt with the T-shaped slot of the notebook computer.

  • Patent number: 6202455
Abstract: A zipper lock assembly is provided for an article with a zipper having two pull tabs. The zipper lock assembly includes a casing having two compartments and two slots for intercommunicating the compartments with outside to allow respective passing of the pull tabs into the compartment. A number lock assembly includes several number wheels rotatably mounted in the casing and a slide plate mounted in the casing and movable in a lateral direction in response to rotational movement of the number wheels. A follower member is releasably engaged with the slide plate. Two push members are pivotally mounted in the casing and each includes a first end for manual operation and a second end with a locking piece and a lug. When the number wheels of the number lock assembly are not in correct code number for unlocking, engagement of the follower member with the slide plate as well as pivotal movement of the push members are prevented to retain the locking piece in the compartment for retaining the pull tabs in place.

  • Patent number: 6082155
Abstract: A pad lock includes a casing including a hook extended outwards therefrom and several number wheels rotatably mounted in the casing. Each number wheel is partially exposed outside the casing for manual turning. Each number wheel includes a code wheel releasably engaged thereto to rotate therewith. A locking device is mounted in the casing and movable between a first position that retains the code wheels in place to allow free rotational movements of the number wheels for code number changing and a second position that disengages from the code wheels such that each code wheel is engaged with an associated number wheel to rotate therewith. An unlocking device includes a pivotal end pivotally mounted in the casing, a press end located outside the casing for manual pressing, an actuating end located in the casing and engaged with the locking device to move therewith, and a latch end located outside the casing and releasably engaged with the hook.

  • Patent number: 5906124
Abstract: A lock assembly includes a base member having a bottom with a peripheral wall extending from a periphery defining the bottom, two rods extending from the bottom and two openings defined through the peripheral wall. Each of the rods has a board and a disk respectively and rotatably mounted thereto which is accessed via the openings. Each of the boards has a protrusion extending therefrom which has two sides. A slide has a slot defined therethrough so as to slidably mount to the rods. A periphery defining the slot has two pairs of opposite sides, a width between each of the two opposite sides being smaller than a length of the protrusion and larger than a width between the two sides of the protrusion. The movement of the slide actuates a limit device disposed to the lock assembly.

  • Patent number: 5440904
Abstract: A lock includes a shackle for locking a wheeled cycle and includes a cable for locking the wheeled cycle to another object. Two catches are slidably engaged in the lock and each has a knob extended outward beyond the lock, the catches may engage with the ends of the cable so as to retain the ends within the lock. Two pins are slidably engaged in the block and are forced toward the catches to engage with the catches so as to lock the catches in place when the shackle is engaged in the lock.
