    Abstract: A method for preparing hyaluronic acid hydrogel microparticles and a use thereof in repairing articular cartilage defects, the method for preparing hyaluronic acid hydrogel microparticles includes: (a) reacting hyaluronic acid with methacrylic anhydride to synthesize a methacrylated hyaluronic acid conjugate; (b) mixing the methacrylated hyaluronic acid conjugate with a photoinitiator, and irradiating ultraviolet light to carry out a photopolymerization reaction so as to obtain a hyaluronic acid hydrogel; and (c) passing the hyaluronic acid hydrogel through a sieve to obtain hyaluronic acid hydrogel microparticles.
