  • Patent number: 5569044
Abstract: A Christmas lamp socket is provided that includes a socket body and an inner cylindrical wall inserted into the socket body. The socket body has two opposing elongate vertically directed plates inside, an annular groove formed in an inner surface at an upper end thereof. The inner cylindrical wall is formed by two semi-cylindrical walls combined together, each wall having a vertical slot formed in an outer surface for receiving a respective one of the two vertical plates of the socket body therein. Each wall also has an annular ridge formed on an outer surface at the upper end thereof for engagement with the annular groove of the socket body to stably couple the cylindrical inner wall to the socket body. A threaded portion is formed on each inner wall to mate with a threaded metal portion of a lamp. A slot is formed between abutting vertical ends of the two semi-cylindrical inner walls for an elongate conductor to extend therein and protrude out of the slot to contact the metal screw base of a lamp.

  • Patent number: 5556298
Abstract: The present invention relates to a Christmas lamp set which comprises two conductors fixed inside a socket of the set, wherein above all the conductor fixed on the internal circumference of the socket is secured firmly and safely by means of a thread fencing portion and a plurality of thread retaining portions inside the socket so that the risk of its falling off or undersired connection between it and the other conductor is prevented.

  • Patent number: 5443402
Abstract: A Christmas lamp socket includes an upper socket for a Christmas lamp to fit therein, and a lower socket for the upper socket to fit therein is provided. The upper socket has a fitting bar extending transversely from an upper edge and is able to be bent so as to be received within a substantially cylindrically shaped opening of a C-shaped projection extending transversely from an upper edge of the lower socket to firmly secure the upper socket to the lower socket.

  • Patent number: 5421742
Abstract: An electric lamp base system is provided. The lamp base includes a cylindrical socket with an inner threaded portion to receive a screw base lamp. One conductor of the lamp base is disposed in a groove formed through the threaded portion of the socket and has its bottom end adapted for insert into a lead wire. The other conductor of the lamp base extends vertically through the bottom of the socket to contact a bottom conductor of the lamp, and has its bottom end adapted for insert into another lead wire. A cap is provided with two upward projecting retaining members for locking engagement with openings formed in the bottom of the socket. The two lead wires are disposed within a straight horizontal groove formed in the bottom of the socket. The two conductors are located far from each other, without any possibility of mutual contact to cause a short circuit.

  • Patent number: 5331529
Abstract: A Christmas lamp with a base has a cylindrical portion formed with a plurality of lengthwise ribs and a plurality of lengthwise slots defined by the ribs. The slots are useful for dispersing heat produced by the lamp quickly. And, inner contact surfaces of the ribs are in close contact with an outer surface of the lamp to keep the lamp secured in the base.

  • Patent number: 4202665
Abstract: The reversed passive hemagglutination test (RPHA) for the detection of hepatitis B surface antigen (HB.sub.s Ag) is improved by the recognition that the speed of movement towards the periphery of a centrifugal field by immunologically aggregated solid phase support particles, increases proportionally with the amount of antigen present. It is further recognized that this dynamic study can be performed objectively and in an automated fashion by equipment such as the miniature centrifugal fast analyzer. The test performed in this manner and known as "reversed passive hemagglutination by minature centrifugal fast analysis" (RPHA/MCFA) is highly specific and eliminates the need for subsequent confirmational studies. Preliminary studies confirm a sensitivity comparable to other third generation tests.
