    Abstract: A cigar cutter with an arresting mechanism includes a pivotally connected arresting block and a guide track divided into a smooth groove, an abutting groove with an abutting block having a portion corresponding to a space between two opposite sides of the smooth groove, and a direction-changing groove having a shoulder opposite to the abutting block and two ends in communication with an end of the smooth groove and an end of the abutting groove, respectively. The arresting block can be moved in the guide track. When the cutter enters a closed state from an open state, the arresting block sequentially touches the abutting block and the shoulder, driving itself to rotate. A length between two opposite sides of a rotated arresting block is greater than two opposite sides of the smooth groove, keeping the arresting block from extending into the smooth groove and the cutter in the closed state.

    Abstract: The present invention is to provide a folding knife, which includes an actuation element having one side provided with a pushing member and a sliding member and an opposite side provided with a locking member. The pushing member extends out of a handle through a pushing slide groove of the handle. The sliding member extends into a positioning slide groove of the handle and is located in an elastic ring. The locking member can extend into a curved groove of a blade. Once the blade is fully rotated out of the handle, the pushing member can be pushed toward the tip of the blade, causing the sliding member to pass through a limiting portion of the elastic ring and enter a locking area of the elastic ring. Consequently, the locking member is engaged in an opened-state locking groove of the curved groove and locks the blade in an opened state.

    Abstract: The present invention is to provide a folding knife, which includes an actuation element having one side provided with a pushing member and a sliding member and an opposite side provided with a locking member. The pushing member extends out of a handle through a pushing slide groove of the handle. The sliding member extends into a positioning slide groove of the handle and is located in an elastic ring. The locking member can extend into a curved groove of a blade. Once the blade is fully rotated out of the handle, the pushing member can be pushed toward the tip of the blade, causing the sliding member to pass through a limiting portion of the elastic ring and enter a locking area of the elastic ring. Consequently, the locking member is engaged in an opened-state locking groove of the curved groove and locks the blade in an opened state.

On the other hand, when the blade has been turned to a folded position in a handle of the knife and the slip switch is moved to the safety lock position, the push element engages its lower end with a second locking hole on the blade to prevent the blade from undesirably separating from the handle. The safety for blade therefore provides the folding knife with a further means to ensure the safe use of the folding knife.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a multistage pocket-knife being characterized in a pair of spring-supported balls rotatably received in ball holes formed on two side members of a knife handle and through holes formed on two lining members positioned adjacent to the side members. A blade of the knife is formed with several round holes near a rear edge thereof. Whereby, when the blade is in a folded position in the handle, the pair of balls extend a part thereof into one of the round holes on the blade and thereby firmly hold the blade in place without easily turning out of the handle even when the knife collides with something or falls accidentally. And, when the blade is in a process of extending or folding, the pair of balls engage into other round holes sequentially, permitting the blade to be safely extended or folded in more than one stage.
