  • Patent number: 6726280
Abstract: A mechanism for adjusting the height of the back support of a chair comprises a frame, a back support, a first link, and a second link. Two lateral plates extend vertically at the top of the frame. A U bracket is mounted on the rear wall of the back support, whose lateral plates have two symmetrically formed pairs of axle holes. At two ends of the first and the second links, there exist holes for respectively pivotably connected to those pairs of axle and pivot holes by axle pins. The lines defined by two pivot holes and two axle holes take special oblique angles, so that when those links rotate about the top Of the frame, the back support keeps vertical. When the links are placed vertically, the back support supports a sitter's back. When the links are placed horizontally, the back support supports a sitter's waist.

  • Publication number: 20040059557
Abstract: A flexible system simulation architecture, its interface and operating method are provided for simulating an electronic device. A rendering, a kernel, and application programs are separated from one another. An API (Application Program Interface) is disposed between an application program object and a system kernel object. A GSI (Generic Simulator Interface) is provided between the rendering object and the system kernel object. The rendering object not only performs simulations via a plurality of EPs (Entry Points) provided by application program object but also accesses library in the system kernel object via the GSI, and shows results performed by the application program object.

  • Publication number: 20040013981
Abstract: Within a method for fabricating a microelectronic fabrication there is employed a patterned positive photoresist residue layer as a protective layer within an aperture when processing an upper region of a topographic microelectronic layer having formed therein the aperture. The patterned positive photoresist residue layer is formed employing an incomplete vertical, but complete horizontal, blanket photoexposure and development of a blanket positive photoresist layer formed upon the topographic microelectronic layer and filling the aperture. The method provides the microelectronic fabrication with enhanced reliability.

  • Patent number: 6459751
Abstract: A multi-shifting shift register is adapted for outputting a selected address signal to a memory unit, and includes a control circuit for outputting a number (i) of shift signals and a timing pulse signal. One of the shift signals is at an enabled state and the other ones of the shift signals are at a disabled state during each cycle of the timing pulse signal. A multi-shifting circuit includes a number (N), which is larger than the number (i), of cascaded register units, each of which has a flip-flop that has an input end, and an output end for generating an address signal, and a selector that has the number (i) of select inputs for receiving the number (i) of the shift signals respectively from the control circuit, the number (i) of address signal inputs, and an output. The output end of the flip-flop is connected to a first one of the address signal inputs of the selector.

  • Patent number: 6219171
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for stepper exposure control by utilizing a shutter assembly formed of electro-optic crystal materials in a photolithographic process are disclosed. In the apparatus, a series of control panels are stacked together to form a shutter assembly. Each of the control panel is formed by depositing a multiplicity of parallel, spaced-apart lines of electro-optic crystal material on a polarizer sheet. Two of such polarizer sheets are then stacked together with the lines parallel to each other and the lines on the top panel overlapping the spacing on the bottom panel. Two bottom panels are formed similarly however, positioned with the lines perpendicular to the lines in the first and second control panel when assembled together in the shutter assembly. A suitable electro-optic crystal material used should withstand a high temperature environment. One of such suitable material is LiNbO3.

  • Patent number: 5937471
Abstract: A multipurpose mop is composed of a head, a neck, an urging mechanism, and a handle. The head is composed of an upper member and a lower member which is joined with the upper member by a retaining rod. The neck has a cross rod and a fastening portion. The neck is fastened with the head by the retaining rod which is put through a through hole of the cross rod of the neck. The fastening portion of the neck is engaged with the tubular head and the nut of the urging mechanism. The handle is fastened at one end thereof with the fastening portion of the neck via the urging mechanism. The head can be turned by the urging mechanism so as to position the head to maximize the cleaning effect. The head is capable of holding a mopping cloth, a bundle of bristles and a floor scraper.
