  • Patent number: 9148967
Abstract: An electronic device 100 includes: a first casing 101; a second casing 102; a hinge mechanism 120 having an opening and closing axial-component 126 and an inverting axial-component 128; and a support assisting section 150. The support assisting section 150 includes: an axial-component 141 on an extended line of the opening and closing axial-component 126 in a normally opened position; and an axial-component receiving section 151 that supports the axial-component 141 on a wall surface of a recess 156 in the normally opened position. The recess 156 is open on at least one of a front side and a rear side in the axial-component receiving section 151. The second casing 102 is rotated about the inverting axial-component 128, and the axial-component 141 is moved into or out of the recess 156 through the side on which the recess 156 is open.

  • Patent number: 9001508
Abstract: An electronic device (100) includes: a first casing (101); a second casing (102) that is connected to the first casing (101), and that has a display (103); a projecting component (152) that projects from a top side surface (101a) of the first casing (101), and is positioned on the top side surface (101a) of the first casing (101) at such a position as to abut against the display (103) when the electronic device (100) is closed; and a movable support section (170) configured to support the projecting component (152) so as to allow the projecting component (152) to move relative to the first casing (101) such that an amount of projection of the projecting component (152) from the top side surface (101a) of the first casing (101) is reduced when the projecting component (152) is pushed by the display (103) in the case of the electronic device (100) being closed.

  • Patent number: 8988871
Abstract: Mounted between bottom and top surfaces of a case are: second buffer materials and first buffer materials brought in surface contact with a bottom surface of a hard disk drive (HDD) via an insulating member, and upper buffer materials brought in surface contact with the opposite side of the HDD via the insulating member. When impact F2 is applied to the HDD, the second buffer materials contract from a thickness of T0 to T2, and the first buffer materials buckle. Buckling parts of the first buffer materials buckle when the second buffer materials contract to thickness T2, and can achieve impact-lessening independently from the second buffer materials. The second buffer materials contract singly from T0 to equal T1 to or more than T2, whereas the first buffer materials and second buffer materials both act at thickness T2 or beyond. Therefore, impact-lessening can be achieved in a broad range.

  • Patent number: 8941019
Abstract: A slit opening 8 is formed on a lower principal surface 6a of a hard disk case 6, in the vicinity of the inner side of an angle part formed by a lower left lateral wall 6e and an opposing lower lateral wall 6c. A hard disk drive 7 is placed in the hard disk case 6. When the hard disk drive 7 is subjected to vibration caused by disturbance on the hard disk case 6, elastic deformation of an angle part 8a of the slit opening 8 occurs using an axis 8b as a center to reduce vibration of the hard disk drive 7. Thus, it is possible to reduce the thickness of the hard disk case 6. With such a configuration, a hard disk case that is for housing an electronic component and that can have a small thickness can be provided.

  • Patent number: 8848365
Abstract: An electronic device in which a holding member for holding an external instrument is arranged rotatably on a housing section, and a restricting part for restricting, at a predetermined angle, rotation angle of the holding member is formed on an inner wall of the housing section. The holding member makes contact with a front side surface engaged with a connector of the external instrument. The restricting part restricts rotation of the holding member whose back surface facing the front side surface is exposed from the housing section. When holding member includes a guiding part that guides the external instrument in a direction that detaches it from the housing section when the holding member is further rotated beyond the restriction by the restricting part, the external instrument can be detached from the housing section when the rotation is equal to or larger than a restriction angle defined by the restricting part.

  • Publication number: 20120268873
Abstract: Disposed on a principal plane of a case is a pair of support members each having one end portion rotatably supported. The other end portions of the support members are supported rotatably by projections included in the case. A pair of loose-insertion openings through which the support parts are loosely inserted is arranged on the one end portions of the pair of support members. A gripping member having a configuration embedding the support members via the pair of loose-insertion openings is included. In a gripping device and an information processing device including the gripping device, concaved portions are formed on the support members at positions intersecting the pair of loose-insertion openings and facing the other support member. This configuration allows smooth rotational moving of the gripping member with regard to the information processing device, and suppressing pinching of foreign debris between the pair of support members and the gripping member.
