  • Patent number: 10793035
Abstract: A seat frame for a framework structure of a vehicle seat includes a plurality of frame bodies formed by bending a single tubular member. The single tubular member is formed in a closed cross-sectional shape by a single long and flat member being bent in a direction that is at a right angle with respect to the lengthwise direction of the long and flat member, and then end edges of the tubular member that have come to face each other being joined together by welding. Each of the plurality of frame bodies includes a bend part and rectilinear parts. The bend part is rectangular in cross section. The rectilinear parts include a rectangular cross section portion and a cross-section-varying portion. The end part of the cross-section-varying portion, connected to the rectangular cross section portion, is rectangular in cross section.

  • Publication number: 20190152364
Abstract: Provided is a seat frame 9 for a framework structure of a vehicle seat. The seat frame 9 is formed by performing necessary additional machining on a single frame body 12 formed by bending a single cylindrical member 54. All or a portion of the single cylindrical member 54 is formed in a closed cross-sectional shape by bending (1st, 2nd, 3rd) a single long flat member 51 in a direction that is at a right angle with respect to the lengthwise direction of the long flat member to thereby join together by welding Y1, Y2 the end edges that have come to face each other. At least a portion of the cross-sectional shape of the frame body 12 is rectangular. A low-weight and low-cost seat frame having high strength is provided.

  • Publication number: 20180201171
Abstract: [Purpose] To provide a sinuous spring mounting structure in a seat back, which can realize a lightweight and simplified structure of a seat back frame of the seat back. A sinuous spring or S-spring 10 used in the present invention has left and right end portions 10a and 10b which include two curved regions 10aU and 10bU, respectively. A seat back frame 7 includes left and right cylindrical side frame portions 9L and 9R. One spring mounting portion 11 for allowing the left end portion 10a of the S-spring 10 to be mounted thereto is formed in an outwardly-facing lateral surface area of the left cylindrical side frame portion 9L, whereas the other spring mounting portion 11 for allowing the right end portion 10b of the S-spring 10 to be mounted thereto is formed in an outwardly-facing lateral surface area of the right cylindrical side frame portion 9R.

  • Publication number: 20170210253
Abstract: [Purpose] To provide a link structure in a motor vehicle seat, which realizes a simplified pivotal connection of a link element therein and also ensures that rotation of the link element is maintained so smooth and stable as to avoid rattling and wobbling of the link element. [Means for Achieving the Purpose] In a link structure comprising a movable portion (such as a seat cushion frame D) and a base portion (such as an upper rail member D) retained stationary relative to the movable portion, wherein the movable portion is movable relative to the base portion and connected therewith via a link element 10, there is provided a pivotal connection portion E to which the link element 10 is at a hole portion 10a thereof pivotally connected.
