  • Patent number: 7849235
Abstract: In response to a request from a central processing unit (CPU) 11 (i.e., firmware) of a node 10, a transfer control unit 14a of a direct memory access (DMA) controller 14 transmits a message and data to another discretionary node 3 by way of a serial bus 1, a switch 2 or the like. In this event, the firmware stores data to be transmitted, a message, and a descriptor thereof in memory 12. In the case of requesting the transmission of the message, the descriptor contains a flag indicating “whether or not there is a need to wait for a response from the data transmission destination”. If the flag is set to ON, the transfer control unit 14a notifies the firmware of a simulated completion immediately instead of waiting for a completion response from the transmission destination node 3.

  • Patent number: 7731349
Abstract: A printing machine includes a transfer device including a conveyor having suction holes formed therethrough for transferring cardboard sheets one by one, a suction device for applying a suction force on one of the two surfaces of each of the cardboard sheets, which one of two surfaces faces the conveyor, and ink jet heads located to face the other of the surfaces of each of the cardboard sheets to be spaced apart therefrom. The ink jet heads are located in such a manner that a desired distance is maintained between tips of the ink jet heads and the other surface to be printed and include ink jet nozzles from each of which ink is jetted out toward said the other surface. The ink jet heads have skirts located upstream and downstream of the transferring direction of the cardboard sheets in such a manner that the skirts extend from the ink jet heads toward the other surface and have a width which covers the ink jet nozzles so as to form a partition in a space between the ink jet nozzles and the other surface.

  • Publication number: 20060284953
Abstract: A method for printing corrugated cardboard sheets is effected by transferring the corrugated cardboard sheets while jetting ink droplets from ink jet nozzles onto the corrugated cardboard sheets to form dots thereon. Said method comprises the steps of transferring the corrugated cardboard sheets one by one while at the same time sucking one flat surface of each of the corrugated cardboard sheets, and adjusting the relationship among the velocity at which the corrugated cardboard sheets are transferred, the suction force of the corrugated cardboard sheets, and the distance between the ink jet nozzle and the other corrugated surface of each of the corrugated cardboard sheets in accordance with the configuration of the said other corrugated surface and the desired DPI of dots to be formed on the said other corrugated surface. As a result, the ink droplets are jetted toward the said other corrugated surface to be printed thereon.
