The frame and the bezel are assembled to each other so that the main liquid crystal display panel and the sub liquid crystal display panel are arranged and held so as to face opposite sides. The frame and the bezel are separated from each other, whereby each of the liquid crystal display panels and can be easily separated at every part of the frame and the bezel.

The front light unit comprises a light source section, a plate-shaped light guide body that guides light from the light source section to the liquid crystal panel, and a frame-shaped protection member mounted on a peripheral portion of the light guide body and engaged with the cell case, thus integrally holding the liquid crystal panel and the light guide body.
