  • Patent number: 5583860
Abstract: A designing and managing system for a communications network having a physical network and a logical network includes a designing system adaptable to a traffic fluctuation through a simple procedure, and a managing system for quickly selecting a suitable communications path in response to a path connection request and a path capacity change request. The designing system has units for respectively determining the topologies of the physical network and the logical network independently of traffic conditions, and units for setting the path capacities of the physical network and the logical network, respectively, based upon a long-term traffic demand and an actual request.

  • Patent number: 5537394
Abstract: A process information generating section produces a communication process information necessary for a communication process. A status predicting section receives a statistically-processed status information from another node when the status of this another node has changed, and produces a prediction information predictive of the statuses of all other nodes, excluding this local node, based on the status information. A routing control section performs control to select a communications path which minimizes a network load, based on the communication process information generated by the process information generating section and the prediction information obtained by a status predicting section.

  • Patent number: 5531608
Abstract: An IC retainer in an IC socket comprise a lock lever for engaging and disengaging from an IC or an IC carrier in accordance with upward and downward motion of a cover, a turnable lever for transforming the upward and downward motion of the cover to upward and downward motion of the lock lever, a mechanism for shifting the lock lever to a backward disengaging position when the lock lever is moved upwardly and to a forward engaging position when the lock lever is lowered, and a spring arrangement for applying a downward turning force to an external end portion of the turnable lever while applying a lowering force to that side of the lock lever on which the external end portion of the turnable lever acts. An internal end portion of the turnable lever opposite to that end portion on which the spring arrangement acts is turned upwardly by the downward turning force applied to the external end portion of the turnable lever, so that an upwardly directed force is applied to the cover.

  • Patent number: 5451816
Abstract: An IC package receptacle is disclosed in which, as an actuator is pushed down, a pushing surface thereof pushes down pressure bearing portions of a plurality of contacts against an elastic force to bring the contacts into and out of contact with leads of an IC package. To cope with an increase of the number of contact poles, the pushing load is reduced by providing a plurality of pushing load peaks brought about by different pushing surfaces. The contacts are grouped into a plurality of unit groups of contacts. The individual groups of contacts are pushed by the different pushing surfaces, respectively, thus providing a deviation between pushing load peaks and provided by the pushing surfaces on the respective unit groups of contacts.

  • Patent number: 5341366
Abstract: In an ATM switching system responsive to a call setup request from each of B-ISDN terminals, a band for an accepted call is estimated in accordance with fuzzy decision on the basis of the fact that the network traffic characteristics can be determined empirically. Therefore, it is possible to estimate the band without any complicated band estimation calculations, improve the call acceptance processing response speed, and further improve the availability efficiency of the network transmission line. In the consequents of the fuzzy rules in particular, the respective band estimation values are represented by the respective input functions, or particularly by the linear couplings coupled by predetermined linear parameters of respective Inputs, thus improving the descriptive capacity of the rules.

  • Patent number: 4247652
Abstract: Dynamically partially cured composition comprising a peroxide-curable olefin copolymer rubber (such as EDPM) and a peroxide-decomposing olefin plastic (such as PE and PP) is improved by effecting the dynamic heat-treatment with addition of a peroxide-non-curable hydrocarbon rubber (such as PIB) and/or a mineral oil softener (process oil). The dynamic heat-treatment is preferably carried out not only in the presence of an organic peroxide but also in the presence of divinyl benzene. The elastomeric composition is thermoplastic and, with or without further blending with an olefin plastic, is processable by techniques conventionally used for thermoplastic resins. This elastomer composition and blends of the elastomer composition and olefin plastic can be used for producing foamed product in combination with decomposition type foaming agent (such as azodicarbonamide).
