    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a porous silica ceramic material, wherein the method includes a step of forming a mixture including silica particles, a binder and a plasticizer, a step of imparting porosity to a green obtained by the forming of the mixture, by extracting the plasticizer from the green, a step of impregnating the green to which the porosity has been imparted with a sintering aid, and a step of firing the green impregnated with the sintering aid.
