  • Patent number: 4823577
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for feeding a material to a hot forging machine in a forging line in which a coiled material is uncoiled, straightened, fed intermittently by pinch rollers through a heating device, cut by a cutting device and then fed into a hot forging machine. The method has the steps of preparing a driving device which drives the pinch rollers mechanically independently from the hot forging machine; picking up the timing of forging conducted by the hot forging machine as an electric signal, and controlling the driving device in accordance with the electric signal.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 8, 1988
Date of Patent: April 25, 1989
Assignees: Sumimoto Metal Industries, Ltd., Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd.
Inventors: Yoshio Kawashima, Shunji Ogata, Masaaki Yokoyama, Masato Tomiku, Tsuneo Yamada, Tsutomu Kuno, Hisao Murakami, Hiroyuki Morimoto, Toyoshige Myojo, Kozo Watanabe, Toshihiro Tanaka

  • Patent number: 4665416
Abstract: A semiconductive device comprising a substrate of a semi-insulative material, a first impurity-doped semiconductive region of an n-conductivity type formed in the substrate, a second impurity-doped semiconductive region of p-conductivity type formed in the substrate. The second region has a generally U-shaped cross-section, one of the vertical limbs of the U adjoining the first region to form a p-n junction therewith and the web portion of the U being located in a position deeper than the bottom of the first region. First and second conductors are deposited on the first and second regions to provide an ohmic contact therewith.

  • Patent number: 4192662
Abstract: Separation of air to produce oxygen, nitrogen and other materials is done by liquefaction and rectification under low pressure to achieve a large saving of the power requirement. The cold of LNG (liquefied natural gas) is utilized for cooling feed air and compressed gas (principally nitrogen), and this gas is compressed at an extremely low temperature so as to achieve further saving of power.
