  • Patent number: 5745046
Abstract: A device for performing identification by sensing the fingerprint of a finger includes an input unit. The input unit is constituted by a plurality of linear contact electrodes formed on a substrate, and a pressure-sensitive sheet formed on the linear contact electrodes and a resistance thereof changes in accordance with a pressure applied thereto. When the finger touches the surface of the pressure-sensitive sheet, a change in resistance is caused between the electrodes, and this change is converted to data of a one-dimensional electrical signal distribution. The obtained data is compared with registered data, thereby performing identification. The time required for signal processing necessary in the identification device can be decreased.

  • Patent number: 5241276
Abstract: In a system for measuring a surface potential of a sample, a probe is located above. A surface of the sample with a small gap and is vibrated by a piezoelectronic element which is energized by a oscillator. A potential of the distal end of the probe is changed and is converted into an electrical signal. The surface potential is obtained from the electrical signal.

  • Patent number: 5185772
Abstract: An imaging belt, a dielectric recording sheet, a charger, a transcript roller, and first and second rollers are arranged in a casing. A latent image corresponding to a radiation transmitted image is formed on the imaging belt. At least a fluorescent layer which is sensitive to a radiation to emit light, and a photosensitive layer sensitive to the light emitted by the fluorescent layer are formed on a flexible substrate to constitute the imaging belt. The imaging belt is looped around the first and second rollers, and is driven to rotate. The dielectric recording sheet is rolled, and the latent image formed on the photosensitive layer of the imaging belt is transcribed onto the dielectric recording sheet. The charger charges the surface of the imaging belt at a high voltage. The transcript roller urges the dielectric recording sheet against the imaging belt. Then, the latent image formed on the imaging belt is transcribed onto the dielectric recording sheet.

  • Patent number: 4598207
Abstract: A storage and reconstruction apparatus for radiation image is comprised of a radiation image storage medium made of phosphor glass powder in which activators are formed according a radiation image. The radiation image storage medium emits a fluorescent light by irradiation of an excitation light, and the emitted fluorescent light is detected and converted into an electrical signal. The electrical signal is treated by an image processor and the radiation image is reconstructed.
