Abstract: The invention relates to a back column for controlling and guiding the cabling of an entertainment center. The back column has a panel having two wings and a face board attached to the two wings. Each wing extends the panel first in an angular direction towards the entertainment center then extends the panel parallel to the entertainment center. The back column has cutouts through which cabling may pass. Other features are disclosed.

Abstract: A frameless sliding door system for a television cabinet stand having a top board coupled to two vertical guide mounts. The frameless sliding door system has two doors, each door having top and bottom bearing rail mechanism that permits the doors to move horizontally away and towards one another, but fixes the movement of the doors in other directions. Abstract: An electronic apparatus has a demodulating section and a strap antenna having a conductor in its inside. Radio waves received by the strap antenna are demodulated by the demodulating section. A receiving-sensitivity adjustment member has at least one through hole for passing the strap antenna in it is slidably placed on the strap antenna, and since a magnetic substance built in the receiving-sensitivity adjustment member changes the electric field generated in the conductor of the strap antenna, receiving sensitivity can be adjusted to the most appropriate state. With an insulator member placed on the strap antenna, a loop antenna can be used as a monopole antenna. When the strap antenna is made detachable, another antenna can be used depending on the use condition.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus which prevents illumination of light by non-uniform brightness from a fluorescent lamp employed for the backlight illumination which is caused by mercury enclosed in the fluorescent tube being deposited on the inner surface of the tube of the fluorescent lamp. The liquid crystal display apparatus comprises a liquid crystal display panel, a backlight apparatus including a fluorescent lamp disposed on the rear face side of the liquid crystal display panel for directing illuminating backlight upon the liquid crystal display panel, and a reflecting plate disposed remote from the liquid crystal display panel with respect to the fluorescent lamp. The reflecting plate has a plurality of ventilating holes formed at portions of a recessed portion thereof opposing to an outer periphery of the fluorescent lamp.
