    Abstract: A connector includes: terminal that includes a box-like portion, into which a mating terminal is inserted; a housing that has an accommodating hole accommodating the box-like portion; and a retainer that is attached to the housing in a manner to be displaceable in a crossing direction, which crosses with a direction in which the box-like portion is inserted. A pressing piece is formed on an upper surface of the accommodating hole, and a protrusion is formed on the lower surface. The retainer includes a protrusion portion. When the retainer is positioned on the first position, the box-like portion is allowed to be inserted into the accommodating hole and the portion is pushed by the pressing piece and displaced in the crossing direction so as to make a step portion of the box-like portion be retained and a rear end of the box-like portion be retained, producing a primary locking state.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a methane combustion catalyst including platinum and iridium supported on a tin oxide carrier for combusting methane in a combustion exhaust gas containing sulfur oxide. In this methane combustion catalyst, in line analysis by electron probe microanalysis performed on an arbitrary cross-section thereof from a deepest catalyst portion toward a catalyst surface, a first region where all of platinum, iridium and tin are detected and a second region where tin is essentially detected but platinum is not detected are both observable. In a specific form, the catalyst includes a base catalyst layer where platinum and iridium are supported on a tin oxide carrier, and an overcoat layer including tin oxide formed on the base catalyst layer. The methane combustion catalyst of the present invention is excellent in initial activity, and is improved in durability.

The high-density packed bed (1) is removed for exposing the surface of the homogeneous dispersion layer (2). According to this structure, the yield of the elastic cylindrical body can be improved.

    Abstract: A control circuit 10 inputs a maximum value, which is read out of a resistor 22, to one of the input terminals of a comparator 14 by providing the maximum value to a D/A convertor 18 through a latch 16. The electric potential V, which is an object to be tested, is input to another input terminal of the comparator 14 through a hold circuit 12. The comparator 14 judges the magnitude of the value of the electric potential V by referring to the maximum value and outputs to the control circuit 10. The same operation is also performed for the minimum value. The pass/fail judgement is performed for judging whether the value of the electric potential V is within an allowable range by the comparison with the maximum value and the minimum value. Furthermore, the control circuit 10 performs an A/D conversion of the electric potential V by reading out data D1-Dn from the resistor 20 one after another to gradually change the reference of a comparison.

    Abstract: A process for producing a hard roll for use as an elastic roll for making paper calendering by casting a liquid thermosetting resin material into a space between a metal roll core and an outer mold, and thereafter heating the resin material from outside to cure a major portion of the material and to form an outer layer resin intermediate body, while cooling the resin material from the roll core side to leave a viscount liquid resin material layer inside the intermediate body. The intermediate body is subsequently cooled from outside the outer mold to contract the body, allowing an excess of the liquid material to be forced out upwardly with the contraction of the body. The material is thereafter heated from the roll core side to cure the remaining viscous liquid resin material. The hard roll can be produced without cracking due to the reaction contraction and thermal shrinkage of the thermosetting resin. The roll is usable without cracking in its surface hardness despite the influence of heat.
