  • Patent number: 9133879
Abstract: An effective contact length in race surfaces formed on grooved races cut in an outer ring and an inner ring is made as greater as permitted to improve the load-carrying capacity, and correspondingly guide parts born against axially opposite ends of a roller are made as less as possible in width to reduce frictional contact resistance applied to the axially opposite ends of the roller, thereby preventing a skew of the roller. An inside circular surface on the outer ring is staggered or different in level on opposite sides of a outside grooved race to make greater the race surface than an effective contact length of circular rolling surfaces of the rollers and correspondingly less the guide part in width than the race surface.

  • Patent number: 8867402
Abstract: From an observed packet, the hop number, which is the number of nodes that the packet has passed through, and a bottleneck bandwidth, which is a bottleneck for transmitting the packet, are determined so as to detect loss failures. Thereby, the subnet that transmitted the observed packet is located as a node in a topology tree on the basis of the determined hop count and bottleneck bandwidth. When a loss failure, by which the packet is lost, is detected, subnets that are inappropriately arranged are extracted from the arrangement in the topology tree of the loss-failure-detected subnet, and the arrangement of the extracted subnets is modified in order to resolve the inappropriateness.

  • Patent number: 8705514
Abstract: Transfer destination of a packet originating from a virtual machine is controlled so as to allow a capture device arranged in a communication network to capture a packet that is transferred using a communication tunnel. A first server acquires a first packet originating from a source virtual machine being operated by the first server, encapsulates the first packet by adding source and destination addresses. The first server further adds a transfer-destination address to the encapsulated first packet to generate a second packet when the first packet is determined to be a target packet to be captured by the capture device. Then, the first server transmits the second packet including the transfer-destination address to the second server using the communication tunnel while the second packet including the first packet is transferred to the transfer-destination address.

  • Patent number: 8615682
Abstract: Measurement agents in a network failure detecting system each configure a group together with other measurement agents that receive a service from the same provision server, and form a link to create a tree structure with a predetermined measurement agent in the group at its top. The measurement agent then receives measurement results from the other measurement agents in the group, and narrows down candidates of a failure location based on the received measurement results. The measurement agent transmits the narrowed candidates of the failure location to a surveillance server or one of the other measurement agents. The surveillance server then receives the transmitted candidates of the failure location, and specifies the failure location based on the received candidates of the failure location.

  • Patent number: 8579511
Abstract: A loading hole made in either of an outer ring and an inner ring is provided in two rows of raceways defined between the outer ring and the inner ring, one to each raceway. The loading hole is set out of the guide surface and, therefore there is no fear that a closure fitted in the loading hole causes any obstacle to the rolling movement of the rollers. The loading hole extends radially of the bearing at a location that a center line of the loading hole lies set-off or biased from a center of the roller. An opening edge of the loading hole is exposed to the raceway in a location out of the guide surface, so that the rollers are allowed to roll smoothly without touching with the innermost edge of the closure.
