Abstract: A pseudo human body device includes, an animal-derived organ having a living tissue and a blood vessel extending from the living tissue, a blood collecting unit which collects blood to be sent to the blood vessel, a tube which connects the blood vessel to the blood collecting unit, a pump unit which is provided along the tube and which sends the blood to the blood vessel from the blood collecting unit, and a housing unit which houses the organ and which sends steam of a temperature higher than a room temperature to the organ to humidify the organ and bring the organ to a temperature of 20° C. to 50° C.

Abstract: An ultrasound treatment system applies an ultrasound driving signal generated by an ultrasound driving signal generating section on an ultrasound treatment section, treats a treatment target living tissue with ultrasound vibration under observation by an observing section, and acquires, with an image acquiring section, an observed image of the living tissue being treated. A control section controls, for example, output of the ultrasound driving signal on the basis of a comparison result of the observed image and a reference image of the living tissue in a state in which mist does not occur.

Abstract: Disclosed is a novel cell chip having a living cell retained on a substrate while keeping the functions of the cell. Specifically, disclosed is a cell chip which comprises a honeycomb-like porous material having through-pores therein and composed of a water-insoluble polymer and a human hepatocyte retained on the porous material. The cell chip, particularly one having a human hepatocyte retained on both surfaces of the honeycomb-like porous material, is advantageous, because it can keep the activity of a drug-metabolizing enzyme (particularly, a P450 activity) for a long period, can keep the number of the cells stably, and so on.
