  • Patent number: 7464452
Abstract: A pin connection structure is used in a floating type brake disc assembly. The assembly is made up of a hub, and an annular disc which is concentrically disposed around the hub with a clearance therebetween. The hub and the disc have plural sets of semicircular connecting dents opening toward the clearance to thereby form respective inserting holes. A hollow pin is inserted into each of the inserting holes with a washer fitted on that one end of the hollow pin which is subsequently caulked radially outward for fixing the washer in position. The hollow pin is made of a metal having a surface-treated layer, and the caulked end of the hollow pin is formed into a convex shape in at least part of the end portion.

  • Patent number: 7374023
Abstract: The invention provides a floating type brake disc which can absorb a shock applied to a hub from a rotor at a time of running on a punishing road, can improve a heat lowering performance and can widely reduce a number of parts. A brake disc (1) is constituted by a hub (20), a rotor (10) and a ring spring (30). A lot of protrusion portions (11) in a radial direction are provided along a peripheral direction in an inner peripheral edge portion of the rotor (10), the same number of projection portions (21) in an axial direction are provided along the peripheral direction in an outer peripheral edge portion of the hub (20), and the protrusion portions (11) are protruded to an inner side in the radial direction through a gap (22) between the projection portions (21). The ring spring (30) is constituted by an open ring having an approximately L-shaped cross section.

  • Patent number: 5899311
Abstract: An apparatus for holding a spring of a clutch has a guide plate which is disposed in an annular recessed portion on a rear side of a clutch plate. A coil spring circumferentially extends in contact with the guide plate. A retainer has a pair of end surface holding portions to contact both ends of the coil spring and a peripheral holding portion to contact a periphery of the coil spring. The guide plate and the retainer are mounted on the clutch plate. A connecting piece is continuously provided on each circumferential end of the guide plate such that the connecting pieces are fit onto the end surface holding portions of the retainer.

  • Patent number: 5520269
Abstract: A floating type brake disc assembly has a hub and an annular disc which is concentrically disposed around the hub. The hub and the disc have plural sets of connecting dents each set being opposingly provided in a connecting portion of the hub and the disc. A hollow pin which has a flange on one end is inserted into each set of the connecting dents such that the hub and the disc are connected together while allowing for a slight floating movement between the two members. The hollow pin has a thick-wall tube portion which lies next to the flange and is adapted to be inserted into each set of the connecting dents and a thin-wall tube portion which has an outer diameter smaller than that of the thick-wall tube portion and is provided next to the thick-wall portion away from the flange.
