The first electrode plate includes a first recess and a first tab with an end disposed in the first recess. The second electrode plate includes a first insulating layer disposed opposite the first tab of the first electrode plate, where the first insulating layer is directly disposed on a surface of a second current collector. In a thickness direction of the electrode assembly, an area of a projection of the first recess is smaller than an area of a projection of the first insulating layer, and the projection of the first recess is located within the projection of the first insulating layer.
