  • Publication number: 20140201090
Abstract: The present invention discloses a battery lease and exchange system for a vehicle owner to make a stop at a battery refueling station where the battery on the car that has already had a low capacity is quickly removed and another battery that is fully charged is installed such that the battery “refueling” process may be executed quickly without being limited by the speed of recharging the batteries.

  • Patent number: 5740356
Abstract: A compact disk read-only-memory (CD-ROM) data handling system for reading data from a CD by employing a CD drive which is controlled by a computer through an CD-interface to operate at several reading speeds. The CD-ROM data handling system includes a read-error management program executed by the computer for managing a read error. The read-error management program issuing a speed control command through the CD-interface for reducing the CD drive to a lower speed for reading the CD-ROM again at a lower speed whereby the read error is more likely to be prevented. In a preferred embodiment, the read-error management program is provided to automatically issue the speed control command to reduce the CD drive to a lower speed when a read-error occurs. In an alternate preferred embodiment, the read-error management program is provided to receive a user input for issuing the speed control command to reduce the CD drive to a lower speed when a read-error occurs.

  • Patent number: 4640504
Abstract: An apparatus for feeding individual substrates from the top of a stack of substrates upon demand includes a paddle wheel having paddles that are semi-cylindrical. The paddles buckle upon contact with the substrates rather than bending and thereby providing reduced normal force sensitivity to paddle deflection and reduced pressure since the force of buckling is a function of the paddle cross-section rather than paddle length for all areas of the paddles except near the paddle wheel hub. The semi-circular blades reduce misfeeding and multifeeding while having an extended wear life.

  • Patent number: 4374212
Abstract: A sheet handling device for use in an electrostatographic copying machine in which a sheet is conveyed by frictional engagement with a sheet handling member, with at least the surface of the sheet handling member being made with a moldmaking silicone rubber composition which includes a diorganopolysiloxane, an organosilicate, and a curing catalyst, together with a silica filler treated with a mixture of a hydroxyl amine, a cyclic siloxane, and a silyl nitrogen compound.
