  • Patent number: 9032086
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for displaying animated images in a mobile web browser. The system requests to download a frame in a sequence of image frames, wherein the sequence of frames is extracted from a video clip with an inter-frame duration. The system then measures the downloading time for the frame. Next, the system displays the frame in the mobile web browser. The system also determines a next frame for downloading based on the inter-frame duration and measured downloading time of the displayed frame.

Date of Patent: May 12, 2015
    Assignee: Rhythm NewMedia Inc.

  • Patent number: 7054328
Abstract: A signal transfer point (STP) within a Signaling System 7 (SS7) telecommunications network receives SS7 signals transmitted by a local switch. In response to a determination that the destination node specified by the received SS7 signal is connected to an Internet Protocol (IP) network, the serving STP encapsulates the received SS7 signal within an IP packet and transmits the IP packet over an IP network using an IP address identifying an application service provider (ASP) associated with a STP serving the specified destination local switch as the destination address. All other SS7 signals are transmitted over an existing SS7 telecommunications network.

  • Patent number: 7028311
Abstract: An architecture for a communications node and a method of implementing control functions in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) telecommunications network. The node performs a plurality of call-control functions in a single physical node. A plurality of application-level logic blocks corresponding to the plurality of call-control functions are interfaced with a common engine module which is implemented on top of a common operating system and physical platform. The engine module includes SIP behavior functions and SIP stack functions, selected ones of which are operable to perform different call-control functions when interfaced with different application-level logic blocks. Mapping tables within the engine module identify groups of functions that, together with selected logic blocks, perform defined call-control functions. The open architecture allows additional functional logic blocks to be interfaced with the engine module to implement additional call-control functions.

  • Patent number: 6823061
Abstract: The invention provides a method, system and device for increasing the efficiency of distributed networks and for enabling SS7-over-IP signaling gateways to share point codes without loss of SS7 functionality. The invention provides for communication among SS7 and IP elements of a distributed network through IP signaling gateways adapted to share point codes. Included is the support of Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP) management functions across the distributed network system. Authoritative and non-authoritative network elements are used to manage subsystem status and SCCP message routing.
